The NFL is back! And so is LeBron James, delivering his thoughts on the upcoming week of football action. Ahead of Week 1, James cast his NFL winner picks.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
LeBron likes the defending champs in the season opener on Thursday night. He says Jalen Hurts commands the game and he’s looking forward to seeing him back out there.
Pick: Eagles ML -410
Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers
LeBron points out that these two teams GO AT IT and he thinks the Chargers could be a sleeper team this season. He’s looking forward to another season of the Justin Herbert-Jim Harbaugh pairing in L.A. and LeBron is going with the Chargers in this one.
Pick: Chargers ML +142
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
LeBron likes the Bucs to roll into the ATL and come out with the W. He likes the group in Tampa Bay and what they bring bring to the table, especially defensively.
Picks: Buccaners ML -135
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
LeBron notes that if you’re looking to beat the Bengals, the best time to get them is early in the season. He knows Joe Burrow wants to change that, but to quote the great Lee Corso, “Not so fast, my friend.” LeBron is going with the Browns.
Picks: Browns ML +195
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts
Anthony Richardson will start the season as QB2 in Indy behind Daniel Jones, but LeBron is still riding with the Colts in Week 1 over Tua, Tyreek and the Dolphins.
Picks: Colts ML -112
Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots
LeBron thinks this could be an intriguing game, with the revamped Raiders — led by new coach Pete Carroll, new QB Geno Smith and rookie RB Ashton Jeanty — rolling into Foxboro to take on new addition Stefon Diggs, rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson from THE Ohio State University and the Patriots. As high as he is on the Pats, LeBron is going with the Silver and Black in this one.
Picks: Raiders ML +130
Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints
Keeping it simple on this one — despite Marvin Harrison Jr. in the lineup for the Cardinals, LeBron is going with the Saints at home.
Picks: Saints ML +230
New York Giants at Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel and a solid Commanders defense will be too much for the Giants in LeBron’s eyes.
Picks: Commanders ML -265
Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
LeBron sees this one as a toss up, but he’s going with the home team in this one hoping a good crowd can get the Jags going. And hey, maybe we’ll get some Travis Hunter highlights in this one.
Picks: Jaguars ML -180
Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos
LeBron thinks the Broncos could be good this season coming off a strong finish to last year and with Bo Nix entering his second season in Denver under head coach Sean Payton. Give LeBron the Broncos in this one.
Picks: Broncos ML -425
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
It’s always tough to roll into Seattle and contend with the 12th man, but LeBron is going with the 49ers in this one coming off an injury-filled 2024 campaign.
Picks: 49ers ML -142
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
LeBron says we know how important this division rivalry game is for both teams, trying to one up one another from the jump in the NFC North standings. Micah Parson joining Jordan Love at Lambeau has LeBron saying, “Go, Pack, Go.”
Picks: Packers ML -148
Houston Texans at Los Angeles Rams
After missing time in training camp, Rams QB Matthew Stafford looks like he will be ready to go in Week 1. LeBron says he’s a beast, especially with Davante Adams now in Los Angeles. LeBron loves their defense as well, so give him the Rams.
Picks: Rams ML -155
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills
The Ravens and Bills have been battling the Chiefs for AFC supremacy in recent years and we all remember what happened last year in the postseason. LeBron is siding with the defending MVP Josh Allen and the Bills at home despite loving what Baltimore brings to the table.
Picks: Bills ML -112
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
LeBron says it’s simple — he’s thinking Jet. as in Justin “Jet” Jefferson. Give him Minnesota in the Monday Night Football opener.
Picks: Vikings ML -122
