Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever prediction, pick for Thursday 7/3/25

Right now, the Indiana Fever feel as good as any team in the WNBA. Tuesday’s Commissioner’s Cup Championship victory over the Minnesota Lynx was impressive; doing so without Caitlin Clark in the lineup is astounding. The Las Vegas Aces probably don’t feel quite as good.

Vegas is feeling the pressure of a disappointing season. At 8-8, they’re on the edge of the playoff race and outside the contender circle for the first time in years. They made a panic trade earlier this week, trading their 2027 first-round pick to the Dallas Wings for forward NaLyssa Smith. The former No. 2 pick is a solid rotation player with some upside, but it screams overpay.

Also 8-8, the Fever have a different feeling around them. While they hoped to have a more solidified playoff position, a Cup Championship is a huge indicator of this team’s ability. Once Caitlin Clark is healthy, they’re poised to rise in the playoff race. Still a young team with plenty of growth on the horizon, this team remains on the upswing.

The Aces are two-point favorites on the road and are -130 on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 163.5 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this contest.

Aces vs. Fever Prediction

Caitlin Clark will likely remain out for this contest. After a quad strain cost her some time early this year, it’s now a groin injury limiting her. She missed the Cup Championship, which was a tough call for her. If she wasn’t good enough to go for a game that important, I doubt she’s recovered enough in 48 hours to go for a regular-season game.

That’s why the Aces are the projected favorites in this game. Statistically a worse offense and defense, Las Vegas hasn’t had much going for them. But they are healthy at the moment. That gives them enough of an edge on the Fever, even as the road team. But I’m not sold on Vegas in this one.

Aces vs. Fever Pick

Indiana Fever Moneyline (+110)

It sounds blasphemous to say that a hobbled Fever team can take down A’ja Wilson. But my confidence level in this Aces team is so, so low.

Indiana managed to take care of a far superior Minnesota Lynx team just two days ago. Their confidence is through the roof right now. Clark drives their offense like no other, but this defense can buckle down and make anyone’s day tough. Just ask Napheesa Collier. I’m taking the better team with all of the momentum in this one.
