Another big fight on tonight’s PFL World Tournament semifinal card is Sergio Pettis vs. Raufeon Stots, a Bantamweight bout. The two former Bellator Champions will face off for an opportunity to fight in the finals of the PFL World Tournament.
Here is my pick for tonight’s fight between Sergio Pettis vs. Raufeon Stots on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Sergio Pettis Moneyline (+225)
Although this fight didn’t occur in Bellator, where both fighters won gold, the fans will finally see Pettis vs. Stots. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Pettis is +225 to beat Stots.
Pettis was 6-1 in Bellator and had three championship victories, but he had lost his previous two contests. Like many other Bellator stars, Pettis has had over a year’s layoff and will make his first appearance for the PFL tonight.
Since being knocked out by Patchy Mix in April 2023, Stots has won two straight fights. Stots is 21-2 in his career with nine finishes. Even though Stots has been more active than Pettis, it hasn’t been by much, as his last fight was eight months ago. Stots is five years older than Pettis, and it must be proven that age is just a number.
Although Pettis is the smaller fighter in this matchup, he has faced the toughest competition recently. Stots is coming off a submission victory, and Pettis needs to display elite takedown defense to pick up this victory. With two of the last Bellator champions facing off, it is surprising to see Pettis as a big underdog. If Pettis is aggressive and isn’t passive like he was during his title reign, a victory is very possible.
