UPDATE: Paredes is back in the lineup for Monday’s game.

UPDATE: Paredes has been diagnosed with a left hamstring injury.

In the bottom of the seventh inning of Thursday’s game against the Chicago White Sox, Isaac Paredes injured his leg after running to first base on a double-play groundball.

Mauricio Dubon was the substitute for Paredes.

Prior to exiting, Paredes went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs and this massive home run:

Paredes had played in 66-of-67 games entering Thursday’s contest. He was slashing .254/.351/.468 with a 12.2% walk rate, 17% strikeout rate and .214 ISO. He contributed 14 home runs, 35 runs and 41 RBI, leading the Astros in both home runs and RBI.

Parades has been batting second in the lineup and his absence would be a huge blow for the Astros offense.
