Despite this being a competitive contest throughout, the big man only logged 23.3 minutes in the loss for the Thunder and with this limited role, Holmgren went 0-for-1 on three pointers. The former lottery pick playing so little was a result of the Thunder attempting to counter Indiana’s small ball lineups.
Holmgren is likely to see more minutes in Game 2, but even if he sees his usual workload, this an unappealing spot for outside shooting.
