The Western Conference Finals between the Timberwolves and Thunder continue Monday with Game 4 in Minnesota. Currently, the Thunder hold a 2-1 series lead. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Thunder are favored by three points for Game 4 and this contest carries a total of 219 points.
Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Monday’s Game 4 between the Thunder and the Timberwolves on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Timberwolves vs. Thunder Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Williams U 20.5 Points (-120)
After a strong first round series vs. the Grizzlies, Williams has been inconsistent as a scorer in the Western Conference Semifinals and the Western Conference Finals. In his 10 starts during these two series, Williams is only averaging 18.1 PPG and he has fell short of 20.5 points in seven of his 10 starts. This Timberwolves defense Williams is currently facing in the Western Conference Finals ranks sixth in rating this season and in his seven matchups with Minnesota this season, Williams is averaging 19.6 PPG and the forward has stayed under 20.5 points in five of these seven tilts.
Specifically, Anthony Edwards has defended Williams for a team-high 10 minutes during the Western Conference Finals and Williams has struggled mightily against the superstar, shooting 1-of-5 from the field. Williams is only averaging 18.3 PPG on the road this postseason and he is an excellent bet for under 20.5 points for Monday’s Game 4 in Minnesota.
Julius Randle O 18.5 Points (-125)
Randle was known as an underwhelming playoff performer, but the veteran has completely flipped the script this postseason and he has been one of the main reasons for the Timberwolves’ deep playoff run. In his 11 starts this postseason, Randle is averaging 22.1 PPG and he has exceeded 18.5 points in eight of these 11 games. Randle is handling a 25.2% usage rate and logging 36.3 minutes per game during these playoffs, both of which rank second only to Edwards for the Timberwolves.
With the Timberwolves looking to even this series at two wins apiece, Randle should approach 40 minutes in Game 4 on Monday, barring a huge blowout. Additionally, this contest will be in Minnesota, which is a plus for Randle, as he is scoring nearly one more point at home than when on the road this season. While the Thunder are the league’s top-rated defense, 18.5 points is simply too low of a line for Randle in this pivotal tilt and he is a great bet to surpass this number Monday.
Chet Holmgren U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-154)
In this tough matchup vs. the Timberwolves, Holmgren is a sharp bet for under 1.5 made three-pointers. Minnesota is giving up the fourth-fewest made three-pointers on the fifth-lowest percentage in the NBA this season and Holmgren has stayed under 1.5 made three-pointers in four of his five matchups with the Timberwolves this season.
Overall, the big man is shooting 36% on three-pointers and he is only averaging 1.4 made three-pointers on 3.9 attempts per game this season. Holmgren has fallen short of 1.5 made three-pointers in 60% of his starts this season and he has failed to hit multiple three-pointers in six of his nine starts during these playoffs.
