It’s a historic day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as Alex Palou won his first-ever Indy 500. He becomes the first Spaniard to win the race in 109 years of competition.

Much attention was on Josef Newgarden heading into today as he sought his third consecutive Indy 500 victory. He had a chance to become the only driver in history to win three straight.
Kyle Larson was also a big name as he was looking to win the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 in the same day. He will travel to North Carolina to race in the NASCAR Cup Series race later today.
