UPDATE: Vientos was scratched due to abdonimal soreness. There’s been no mention of when the injury occurred.
Mark Vientos has played in 46 of 50 games for the New York Mets this season, both at DH and 3B. For Friday’s series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Vientos was slated to play 3B and bat second in the order. Unfortunately, he was a late scratch for reasons unknown at this time.
Brett Baty ($3,000) will slide over from second base to man the hot corner while Luisangel Acuna ($3,600) will enter the starting lineup and play second base. Baty and Acuna will bat eighth and ninth in the lineup.
