The Iconic Air Jordan 4 White Cement Is Back: Release Date, Price, Where To Buy

One of Jordan Brand’s most popular models in one of its most iconic colorways is about to return, as the Air Jordan 4 White Cement returns on Saturday for $225.

First retroed in 1999, the White Cements are one of four original colorways Michael Jordan laced up in 1989, along with the Military Blue, Breds and Fire Reds. We saw the Military Blue (for some reason dubbed Industrial Blue) and the Bred Reimagined last year, leaving the Fire Reds as the last OG colorway still needing a new release (the Fire Reds last released in 2020). Despite being over 35 years old, the Air Jordan 4 remains one of Jordan Brand’s most popular models, including in modern collaborations with Union, Travis Scott and even Nike SB. The Nike SB 4s in Pine Green were my sneaker of the year in 2023 and this year’s Navy colorway just might take my top spot once again.

The 2025 edition of the White Cement shares some similarities with the SB 4s, but also some differences as well. Like the SB 4s, Nike says the 2025 White Cements feature shape, fit and feel “crafted to the original 1989 specs.” The original Pine Green Nike SB 4s from 2023 are credited with ushering in the best and most accurate shape of Air Jordan 4 retros since the White Cement 4s help usher in the retro craze at the turn of the Millenium. However, unlike the SB 4s, the White Cements are more true to the OG with a set of stiffer TPU cement speckled wings and heel tab, which makes them slightly more uncomfortable in my opinion. They also retain the traditional forfoot air unit that the SB 4s have been omitting. One other nod to the 1989 originals is seen on the back heel tab, with the Nike Air branding featuring speckling of its own, which have not been present on past retros. Similarly, the 2025 version of the White Cement has all the things you would expect from a retro of this colorway — including a white leather upper, the aformentioned wings, heel tab and midsole in speckled cement, as well as black accents throughout and Jumpman Flight branding on the tongue and upside down Air Jordan branding on the back.

The White Cement colorway is famous beyond the court, having been a part of Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing as well as of Lee’s famed commercial appearances as his Mars Blackmon character from She’s Gotta Have It.

Demand is likely to be high for the 2025 White Cement. We’ve already seen a shock drop on SNKRS as well as early access on other sites, while the 2025 edition of the shoe has an average price of $311 over the last three months on StockX from 162 sales. While it’s true we’ve seen some shoes that we never thought would struggle sit on shelves for months, such as the late 2024 retro of the Air Jordan 3 Black Cement, I think the fact that we haven’t seen this colorway since 2016 (versus 2018 for the Black Cement 3s) and it’s general popularity will make it more likely to sell out quickly. So, best of luck to all looking to pick up a pair!
