While the Liberty had a great season opener, it wasn’t the best night for Sabrina Ionescu. The three-time All-Star finished with just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting.
On the bright side, she did add seven rebounds and four assists without committing a turnover or foul. She’ll look to bounce back against the Sky tonight.
The Liberty are 12-point favorites on the road, and the game total is set at 164 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Sabrina Ionescu over 5.5 assists (-105)
After her season opener was rather disappointing, Ionescu should have a much better game against the Sky. Chicago lost 93-58 to the Fever, so that lack of defense should serve the Liberty well.
Even when she’s not shooting well, Ionescu’s passing makes her valuable. She had four assists in the first game, and she averaged at least six assists per game in three of the last four seasons.
Rather than bet on a bounce-back scoring performance, let’s stick to her assists tonight. The Sky should allow a ton of points, which will give Ionescu plenty of chances to rack up assists.
I’m also predicting that Breanna Stewart continues to lead the scoring department. Let’s not overlap bets by hoping both Stewart and Ionescu have great scoring nights.
Sabrina Ionescu over 16.5 points (-120)
If assists really aren’t your cup of tea, the points prop isn’t a terrible bet for tonight. As mentioned, the Sky should allow a lot of points. The defense couldn’t slow down the Fever, and they likely won’t be able to do much against the reigning champions.
With so much scoring, Ionescu has a good shot at hitting over 16.5 points tonight. She shot 12 times against Las Vegas in the season opener. While she made just three, Ionescu shot just two fewer times than Stewart.
Ionescu is too good of a player to have back-to-back poor shooting games. Factor that in with the Sky’s weak defense and it’s a recipe for a high-scoring affair.
I still prefer the assists prop for Ionescu, but there’s good reason to back the points.
