UPDATE: Friedl left Tuesday’s game with right wrist soreness.
TJ Friedl was hit by a pitch in the third inning of Tuesday’s game vs. the White Sox, and then collided with Elly De La Cruz in the fourth inning. It is unclear which of these incidents caused the injury, but Friedl left the game before the start of the fifth inning.
He was replaced by Will Benson. Before exiting, Friedl had one strikeout in only one trip to the plate.
