Minnesota Twins team total over 4.5 runs +100

**This game does have some weather concerns, so check for weather updates before placing your bet**

The Twins face Cade Povich for the second time this season. Exactly a week ago, they scored five runs off him in six innings. I expect little has changed for Povich since then, predicting the Twins will replicate that performance tonight. Povich has struggled at home this season, posting a .429 wOBA, a 7.67 FIP, and allowing six of his seven home runs there. Right-handed hitters have been especially dominant, with a .455 wOBA and all six of those homers. Compounding Povich’s issues, the Orioles’ bullpen remains a liability, leaving them with few reliable options to stop what could be an explosive offensive night for the Twins.

Kerry Carpenter over 1.5 H/R/RBI -125

I can’t believe how lucky Brayan Bello has been this season. His 2.01 ERA looks impressive, right? But his advanced stats tell a different story. He has a 5.53 xERA and a 5.57 FIP, suggesting he’s due for a correction. Regression looms, and this matchup favors Kerry Carpenter. Against left-handed hitters, Bello has a .357 wOBA and a 6.32 FIP, issuing 10 of his 12 walks to them. Carpenter has been dominant in May, posting a .413 wOBA, a .244 ISO, and a 172 wRC+. He’s cleared 1.5 hits, runs, or RBI in five of his 10 games atop the Tigers’ lineup. This is a prime spot for him to hit that mark for the sixth time in May.

Kyle Freeland under 15.5 outs recorded +105

After pitching at least six innings in his first three starts, Freeland has done so only once in his last five. These short outings aren’t due to pitch count issues, as his walk rate is a minuscule 1.6 per nine innings. Freeland is allowing many hits, averaging over seven per start. The Texas Rangers aren’t the offensive powerhouse they were last season, but Freeland is allowing hard contact at a 43% rate. I doubt he’ll pitch deep into this game, as has been the trend over the last month. The Rockies’ bullpen is well-rested after getting 13 innings from their starters over the last two games. As a result, Freeland may be pulled early tonight.

Good luck with these MLB picks tonight!
