Friday night was a barn-burner in Phoenix, as the Dodgers and Diamondbacks combined for 25 total runs. Leading the charge for LA was, as always, Shohei Ohtani. The reigning NL MVP went 3-for-6 with four RBIs at the plate, including a game-winning three-run homer in the ninth. What can fans and bettors expect from the four-time All-Star tonight?
The Dodgers enter as favorites (-120) vs. the Diamondbacks on Saturday, with the over/under set at 9.5 runs (-108). Before the start of tonight’s National League West showdown, here’s my favorite Shohei Ohtani player prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Ohtani might not be on an all-time pace (yet), but he’s still put together a phenomenal 2025 campaign. Through 37 games, the Japanese superstar has slashed .303/.404/.655 while driving in 12 home runs and 20 RBIs. Hitting leadoff, Showtime also leads all of baseball with 43 runs scored.
After a good, not great, start, Ohtani has begun to catch fire at the plate. Over his last ten games, Los Angeles’ face of the franchise has hit .324 with five homers and seven runs batted in. That includes last night’s stat-stuffing masterpiece against Arizona. However, Saturday’s contest could prove a bit more difficult. The Diamondbacks will send out staff ace Corbin Burnes. Over his last three starts, the right-hander has accounted for a 2.08 ERA.
Burnes, a former Cy Young winner, is one of the National League’s best arms. With that being said, Ohtani has had success in this spot before. In a limited six at-bat sample size, the slugger has gone 3-for-6 at the plate, including a home run. That’s not a guarantee of future success at the dish, but it’s certainly a good sign.
Part of what makes Ohtani a counting stats monster is his position atop Los Angeles’ loaded lineup. Over 30.0 career innings vs. the Dodgers, Burnes has recorded a lackluster 5.40 ERA. As long as LA’s bats come to play, there should be several opportunities for Ohtani to reach base.
