The NBA Playoffs are back in action Monday night!
Every series across the league has played its first game, so we’ve gotten a chance to see how these teams match up. The first battle between the Lakers and Nuggets saw an early push from L.A. only for Denver to pull away late, which has become a trend for matchups between these two squads.
In this article, I’m going to break down my favorite NBA player prop on DraftKings Sportsbook for Game 2 of Nuggets-Lakers. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Anthony Davis Over 37.5 Points + Rebounds (-105)
Let’s get this out of the way first: I do not expect the Lakers to win this game.
However, if they ARE going to win this game, it will almost certainly be due to a huge performance from Davis. As has been the case for the last few years, this team’s postseason aspirations hinge on his play.
As for his current form, it’s quite encouraging for those riding with this prop. The superstar big has easily cleared this total in three of his last four games, almost doing so with points alone on a couple of occasions. In Game 1 in Denver, AD finished with 32 and 14, also boasting a significantly expanded usage rate of 31.4%.
Nikola Jokic is as tough a matchup as anyone else in the league, but Davis has actually found pretty consistent individual success against him, averaging 29.5 points and 10.1 rebounds in the postseason.
On the season, Davis is averaging 35.5 minutes per contest. That jumped to a whopping 44:30 on Saturday, and I predict it will stay above 40 once again tonight as Darvin Ham knows the rest of L.A.’s roster isn’t capable of dealing with the Joker defensively. Assuming AD stays out of foul trouble, I’m expecting another huge night for him in Game 2.
