Magic vs. Celtics Player Stats from NBA Playoffs on Sunday 4/20/25

During the regular season, the Orlando Magic went 2-1 against the Boston Celtics. And things looked promising for Orlando in the first half of Game 1 in Boston. Despite falling behind by eight points after one quarter, the Magic used a 31-22 second quarter to enter halftime with a one-point lead.

Here’s the thing, though. In those two regular-season wins for Orlando, Jayson Tatum was out for one while the other was in April with Boston resting all their starters.

After halftime of Sunday’s game, the Celtics remembered that they were defending champions, turned the defensive screws all the way to the right and won the third quarter, 30-18, cruising to the 103-86 win.

Paolo Banchero ($9,200; 60.25 FPTS) was fantastic on Sunday, shooting 14-of-27 from the field and 4-of-7 from downtown for 36 points. He also chipped in 11 rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal in 40 minutes. It was a huge leap from the meeting back in mid-January when Banchero shot 8-of-20 from the field and contributed 21 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 94-121 loss to Boston.

Banchero’s running mate, Franz Wagner ($8,200; 36.25 FPTS) finished with 21 points, three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal in 34 minutes while shooting 9-of-22 from the field and 1-of-6 from downtown.

No other Magic player attempted over six shots.

Boston was led by Derrick White ($7,200; 45.25 FPTS), who shot 10-of-18 from the field and 7-of-12 from downtown for 30 points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in 35 minutes.

Jayson Tatum ($9,900; 44.5 FPTS) hucked up the most shots with 21, but only made seven. Tatum converted only 1-of-8 from beyond the arc. He finished the day with 15 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal in 39 minutes.

Jaylen Brown ($8,100; 28.75 FPTS) and Kristaps Porzingis ($7,900; 24.5 FPTS) both struggled, shooting 6-of-14 and 1-of-8 from the field, respectively.

In the $300K Shootaround tournament, Banchero was rostered on 7.97% of teams, Wagner was on 6.52%, White was on 4.13%, Tatum was on 12.33%, Brown was on 3.45% and Porzingis was on 3.78%.
