WATCH: Jazz Chisholm Jr. ejected from Thursday’s game vs. Rays

UPDATE: Chisholm has been fined and suspended for one game, but he has appealed and is available for Friday’s game.

In the top of the seventh inning of Thursday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Jazz Chisholm Jr. ($5,500; 4 FPTS) worked a full count, then was called out on low-and-outside pitch delivered by the lefty Mason Montgomery.

The ball was clearly below the zone, so Chisholm made a move to first base….until he heard and saw the punch out call by home plate umpire, John Bacon. Chisholm took off his helmet and went to talk with Bacon. After a few pleasantries from both parties, Bacon finally ejected Chisholm from the game.

Oswald Peraza was the substitute for Chisholm.

Prior to getting ejected, Chisholm went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
