The 2026 Breeders’ Cup Classic has arrived! This race is taking place at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. The Breeders’ Cup Classic G1 race has a $7 million purse and a post time of 6:16 p.m. ET and is airing on NBC and Peacock. The field for the race, which began in 1984, features seven horses after Magnitude was scratched late in the week.

Sovereignty has won the 2026 Breeders’ Cup Classic with trainer Bill Mott and jockey Junior Alvarado. The team takes home $3.64 million, 52 percent of the $7 million overall purse. Sovereignty had odds of 5–2 before the race.
