The UFC is back at the Apex for a UFC Fight Night event headlined by Josh Emmett vs. Lerone “The Miracle” Murphy. The Prelims begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, while the Main Card starts at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Emmett is a devastating striker on the feet and has the power to put anyone’s lights out in front of him. With former champion Ilia Topuria relinquishing his title and moving up to the lightweight division, a new path to the top is now open. Emmett knocked out Bryce Mitchell, the last time he was in the Octagon in December 2023. 16 months later, and now 40 years old, Emmett looks to prove that he is still a contender at 145 pounds.

But Emmett must get past another contender on the rise. The pride of Manchester, England, Murphy faces the most talented opponent of his career. But “The Miracle” is not just a nickname but demonstrates what he has been through. In 2013, before Murphy began his MMA career, he was struck with multiple bullets. Murphy was also involved in a near-death cycling accident. Murphy had to endure a lot of pain to get to this moment, but he is primed to have the best performance of his career.

Murphy is the favorite in this bout at -310, with Emmett being the +250 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Although Emmett has a significant power advantage on the feet, Murphy is the more well-versed fighter in every other area. Murphy stands three inches taller (5’9″ vs. 5’6″) while having a more extensive reach (73″ vs. 70″). “The Miracle” also averages more significant strikes per minute and more takedowns every 15 minutes.

Philadelphia’s own, Pat Sabatini, faces Joanderson Brito in the co-main event in a three-round featherweight contest. Sabatini has won two of his previous three fights and is trying to win his second straight fight for the first time since 2022. He is facing a talented, versatile fighter in Brito. He has finishing ability on the feet and the ground. Brito has won five of his last six contests in the UFC. Brito is the favorite at -230 in this bout with Sabatini being +190.
