Texas A&M vs. Michigan prediction, pick for March Madness Round of 32

Texas A&M vs. Michigan prediction, pick for March Madness Round of 32

Published:

Although UC San Diego was a popular underdog selection on Thursday, the Michigan Wolverines reminded everyone why they are the Big Ten Tournament Champions. Michigan beat UC San Diego 68-65 but had a 14-point lead in the first half. Texas A&M defeated the Yale Bulldogs 80-71 in the Round of 64.

This is the third meeting between the programs, with the Wolverines leading the series 2-0. Here is my favorite pick for Saturday’s matchup between No. 5 Michigan vs. No. 4 Texas A&M.

Texas A&M vs. Michigan (5:15 p.m. ET)

Michigan center Vlad Goldin led the way for the Wolverines, scoring 14 points and seven rebounds. He was one of three Michigan players to score double digits against UC San Diego.

Pharrel Payne led the Aggies with 25 points on a terrific 10-12 shooting from the field while grabbing 10 rebounds. Texas A&M only shot 24 percent on three-pointers against Yale and will need to be more efficient to beat Michigan. Texas A&M is a -2.5 favorite in this matchup against Michigan on DraftKings Sportsbook.

On paper, Michigan has the edge in turnover margin and points per game while being the better shooting team. Michigan’s frontcourt duo of Goldin and Danny Wolf combine to average 16.7 boards per game and are a hard tandem to stop. Michigan has won four straight games and continues to find a way to win close games.

College Basketball Pick: Michigan +2.5
