College Basketball Picks: Best Player Prop Bets for Thursday 3/6/25

Thursday night’s college basketball slate is headlined by the No. 8 Michigan State Spartans taking on the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Spartans have had an unbelievable season; they are 24-5. Michigan State has won five straight games and beat four top-20 teams in their previous four matchups.

Here are my two favorite player prop bets for tonight’s CBB slate on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jase Richardson 5+ Rebounds (+105)

Michigan State’s second-leading scorer this season has been Jase Richardson, averaging 11 points, three rebounds, and 1.9 assists per contest. He has improved in rebounding recently, totaling five or more boards in his last three games and five of seven.

You can get Richardson to hit his rebounding total at +105 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Richardson scored double-digit points in seven straight games but only had 15 or more three times during that period. With his offensive impact being unpredictable on a nightly basis, it is wise to back him in rebounds against Iowa tonight.

Payton Sandfort 18+ Points (+105)

Iowa senior forward Peyton Sandfort has had an excellent season this year, averaging 16.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and three assists per game. Sandfort has hit this mark 15 times in the 29 games he has played. Backing Sandfort to score 18+ points is priced at +105.

Yes, Sandfort scored only seven and nine points in his two previous games but had a dominant stretch before that. He hit this scoring total in five of the last eight games before his previous two down performances. In his last two games he was 5-23 from the field. That was the first time this season that Sandfort has shot it under 25 percent from the field in back-to-back games.
