Every year at the conclusion of the Super Bowl, fans eagerly await the celebratory Gatorade bath taken by the winning coach. And for some, there is more than just curiosity at stake.

Yes, you can bet on the Gatorade color on DraftKings Sportsbook. The betting favorite as of Friday, January 31, is purple at +175, followed by orange (+250), yellow/green (+350), red (+425) and blue (+450). Clear (+850) and no Gatorade bath (+1500) are the long shots on the board.

Since 2001, orange has been the most frequent Gatorade color to get splashed on the coach of the winning team. Orange has been the Gatorade color five times, followed by blue, purple and clear (4 each) and yellow (3). It should be noted that there were two instances where there was no Gatorade bath. Care to guess which team didn’t spill the sport drink on their coach? That’s right, the Patriots thought discretion was the better part of valor when it came to head coach Bill Belichick.

Andy Reid has worn purple Gatorade in each of the past two Super Bowls, perhaps contributing to its status as the betting favorite, but orange was the color the first time he took a Gatorade bath in 2020 when the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV for the first title of the Mahomes/Reid era.

The Chiefs are currently -1.5 favorites to win Super Bowl LIX on DraftKings Sportsbook, and the over/under is set at 48.5 as of Friday, January 31. Make sure to stay tuned in to DraftKings Network starting Monday for all of our Super Week coverage! Learn more here.
