Trae Young has started to show off his elite scoring touch more often lately. Here is my favorite prop bet for Trae Young against the Nuggets tonight.
Trae Young over 22.5 points (-105)
Young is averaging 22 points per game this season, his fewest since his rookie season in 2018-19. With the emergence of Jalen Johnson and De’Andre Hunter, Young has taken on a reduced offensive role than in the past. But just because he isn’t a high-volume scorer on a nightly basis doesn’t mean he isn’t capable. In the last six games, he has scored 27 or more four times.
He is -105 on DraftKings Sportsbook to score more than 22.5 points against the Nuggets tonight. He has scored 23 or more points in 16 of 31 games this season and has also hit this mark in five of his last six games. Young only scored 15 points against the Nuggets on December 8 this season, but he has succeeded against Denver. He scored 23 or more points in five of his last eight games against the Nuggets.
With Young beginning to look like an elite scorer again, it is an excellent play to get his over in points at 22.5 for tonight’s game. Because if he continues to score at a high level, his scoring total will increase a ton.
