City are coming off a pair of draws in EPL play, with a wild 4-4 stalemate against Chelsea followed by a 1-1 draw with Liverpool last week. They’ll look to get back on track as they sit behind league leaders Arsenal ahead of the matchup against Tottenham.
Erling Haaland continues to dominate offensively in the league, logging 14 goals and three assists in just 13 matches in EPL play this season.
Spurs have lost their last three outings in league play, being outscored 8-3 from all those opponents combined. Their most recent loss came with a 2-1 final score against Aston Villa while Giovani Lo Celso logged the lone goal for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Man City also coming off a midweek Champions League match, which Tottenham hopes will give them an edge since they haven’t played since November 25. The visitors will be missing several key players however, including Richarlison (groin), James Maddison (ankle), and Ivan Perisic (ACL). Ryan Sessegnon is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury as well.
City aren’t without their injuries, as they’ll be without Mateo Kovacic (muscle injury), Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), and potentially Jack Grealish, who is listed as doubtful with an illness.
Regardless, all signs point to Manchester City getting the win at home, and that’s the outcome I’m backing in this Sunday morning outing.
