SMU and Clemson earned the final two spots in the bracket after the Tigers beat the Mustangs in the ACC Championship, knocking Alabama and Miami out of the field. The College Football Playoff begins on December 20 as Indiana travels to South Bend to take on Notre Dame and concludes on January 20 with the CFP National Championship game from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
