Thursday’s schedule for MLB is, well, small. Only two games will be played after three afternoon games take place. Here are a couple of bets I like for those games on DraftKings Sportsbook.

San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
The Pick: Michael Conforto over 1.5 H/R/RBI -120
With the right-handed Ryne Neslon on the mound for the Diamondbacks, Conforto should slot back into the cleanup spot for the Giants. Having faced a lefty in the last two games, Conforto and Jorge Soler have switched spots in the lineup with Soler batting cleanup. If a bit of a slow start, Conforto has picked it up at the plate, riding a four game hitting streak that includes a double and a home run. Hitting from the left side gives him a nice advantage against Nelson, who has some absymal numbers against lefties since last year. Over the span, he sports a .372 wOBA against them with a 5.43 FIP, only a 5.4 K/9 and a 1.3 HR/9.
Chicago Cubs vs. Miami Marlins
The Pick: Cubs Team Total over 4.5 runs +114
I was surprised to see that the Cubs have the highest wOBA in the league against lefties at .393! That’s a massive number and is 28 points higher than the Diamondbacks, who have the second-best. The Cubs will be facing AJ Puk tonight who has really struggled to start the year. After a solid campaign as the Marlins closer last season, Puk hasn’t seen that translate as a stater. Through 3 games, he has a 5.91 ERA with a xERA of 5.58, a 6.86 FIP, a 6.7 K/9 and an 11.8 BB/9. As you can tell, he’s putting a lot of men on base and that’s causing him trouble. He’s yet to pitch more than 4.2 innings in any of his starts, although 13 walks isn’t helping his pitch count. Nonetheless, if he’s throwing like that for a fourth time, the Cubs chould be able to put up some runs against him.
