Best Tee Higgins props for Bengals vs. Chargers on Sunday Night Football

Updated:

By: Sean Barnard

Week 11’s Sunday Night Football matchup will be taking place between the Los Angeles Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals. Both these teams hold playoff aspirations but did not get off to the ideal start. This game will play a major role in shaping the playoff picture with Cincinnati especially having little room for error following its 4-6 start.

The Chargers enter this game as 1.5-point favorites and -122 on the moneyline. The Bengals are considered +102 underdogs on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook with the game total set at 48 points.

Tee Higgins Prop Bets

DraftKings Sportsbook has Tee Higgins’ props set at o/u 57.5 receiving yards, o/u 4.5 receptions, 20.5 yards for his longest receptions, and holds +160 odds of an anytime touchdown.

Tee Higgins will be making his return to the field this week against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 25-year-old pass-catcher missed the previous three weeks due to a quad injury. This also comes after he missed the opening two weeks of the season due to a hamstring issue.

When he has been on the field, Higgins has looked like himself. Across five games he has tallied 29 receptions for 341 yards and three touchdowns. He has been targeted six or more times in each game, including as many as 14, which occurred against the Ravens. Higgins is averaging 68.2 receiving yards per game and he has eclipsed the receiving yards prop of 57.5 yards in four of the five games.

This is a difficult matchup for the Bengals as the Chargers present one of the most impressive defensive units in the NFL. Los Angeles has allowed the fewest points of any team in the league and ranks sixth in yards allowed. It also rank ninth in passing yards allowed and eighth in passing touchdowns.

Higgins has only faced off with the Chargers once in his career with this occurring back in 2021. The then-second-year wide receiver tallied 138 receiving yards and a touchdown in that game.

While the Chargers will present a difficult challenge, I like Tee Higgins to reach his player prop and record over 57.5 receiving yards. In the games that he has been on the field, he has logged a 12.6% target share which is an impressive split. Higgins has looked like himself when he has been on the field, while the Bengals offense has not looked the same without him. Expect the game plan to involve putting the ball in Higgins’ hands early on in this one. Cincinnati’s defense is not nearly as impressive and there is a strong chance it is forced to play from behind which would only increase this chance. The 57.5 receiving yard prop is too low based on the expected opportunity and count on Higgins playing a notable role in this matchup.

The Pick: Over 57.5 Receiving Yards
