Best Domantas Sabonis prop bets for tonight’s Kings vs. Suns game

By: Sean Barnard

The Sacramento Kings are set to face off with the Phoenix Suns tonight in their second matchup already this season. Sacramento got the better of Phoenix in the first matchup and produced a 127-118 overtime victory.

The Suns will continue to play without Kevin Durant, while both Bradley Beal and Grayson Allen are fighting through injury issues. Malik Monk will miss this game for the Kings due to an ankle sprain.

The Kings enter this game as eight-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Suns are +260 underdogs on the moneyline with the game total set at 225.5 points.

As the Kings prepare to face off with the Suns for the second time in less than a week, here are the best Domantas Sabonis prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook:

Domantas Sabonis Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

DraftKings Sportsbook has set Domantas Sabonis’ prop lines for points (18.5), rebounds (13.5), assists (6.5), and made three-pointers (0.5). Here are the top betting options to consider:

Over 18.5 Points (-120): The points line for Sabonis is set at 18.5 with the odds for the over set at -120. The under sits at -110 odds. So far this season, Sabonis has averaged 20.7 points per game. He has eclipsed 19.5 points in six-of-11 games. He finished with exactly 20 points in the previous matchup with the Suns, too.

Jusuf Nurkic will be the primary defender on Sabonis, and the latter has struggled with the opposing big at times in his career. Overall, Sabonis has averaged just 14.0 points per game against Nurkic in their 16 matchups. Sabonis has recorded as many as 35 in a game, and it also should be noted he eclipsed 18.5 points in three of their four matchups last year. Look for this recent trend to continue and for Sabonis to continue having the upper hand.

Over 13.5 Rebounds (+100): Sabonis’ rebounding line is set at 13.5 with the under favored at -130 odds and the over set at +100. The Kings star has led the NBA in rebounding the past two seasons and averaged 13.7 rebounds per game last year. So far this season, he has produced 12.8 rebounds per game. He has eclipsed 13.5 rebounds in just three of his 11 games thus far.

In the first matchup with the Suns, Sabonis tallied 12 rebounds, with four of them coming on the offensive end. Throughout his career, he has averaged just 9.4 rebounds per game against Nurkic, but he recorded over 13.5 rebounds in two of the four games last year. While Sabonis will surely make his impact felt by rebounding the ball, this number feels a bit high based on the matchup and I lean towards the under.

Over 6.5 Assists (-154): The assists line for Sabonis is set at 6.5, with the over heavily favored at -154 odds. The odds for the under are set at +120. The three-time All-Star has averaged 6.6 assists per game this season and recorded over 6.5 assists in five of the 11 games. He was held to five assists in the first matchup with the Suns this campaign.

Sabonis has not shined as a playmaker during his matchups with Nurkic. Throughout his career, he has averaged 4.2 assists per game, although he did record over 6.5 assists in three of the four matchups with Phoenix last year. While Sabonis’ playmaking ability is part of what makes him so special, these odds feel a bit too high and there is some value on the under if you are feeling bold.

Over 0.5 Made Three-Pointers (-110): The three-point line for Sabonis is set at 0.5, with the under favored at -120 and odds for the over set at -110. Sabonis has not been known for his perimeter shooting throughout his career. His career-high in attempts per game is 2.3 over a season, and he has never made more than 52 long-range shots in a season.

However, Sabonis has seemed to intentionally expand his game this year. He has attempted at least one three-pointer in nine of his 11 games and made a long-range shot in six of those 11. He shot 0-3 from beyond the arc in the first matchup with the Suns, but knocked down a long-range shot in two of the four games he played against them last year. Keep Sabonis in mind for three-point props more this year than has been the case in past seasons.

Over 39.5 Combined Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-110): The line for combined points, assists, and rebounds is set at 39.5 for this game. The over has -110 odds while the under is favored at -120. He has recorded over 39.5 combined points, assists, and rebounds in four of his 11 games this season, but was held to 37 in the first matchup with Phoenix.

You also can check out Sabonis’ odds of a double-double at -650 and a triple-double at +400. He has tallied three triple-doubles already this season. His odds for combined rebounds and assists line of 20.5 also has the under favored at -120 odds.

Futures Outlook: The Kings currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference and hold -155 odds of making the playoffs. They also hold +110 odds of participating in the Play-in Tournament. Sacramento is considered title longshots as they hold +3000 odds of winning the Western Conference, ninth-best , and +7000 odds of winning the championship, 17th-best. Domantas Sabonis holds +15000 odds of winning MVP on the season which ranks 16th in the NBA.
