It is a light NBA slate for a Monday following a busy Sunday of hoops. There are just five games, each tipping off at 8:10 PM EST.
Most notably, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to remain undefeated when facing off against the Chicago Bulls. The Los Angeles Clippers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first game following Chet Holmgren’s hip injury. The Nets will face the Pelicans, the Kings will play the Spurs, and the Wizards will tip off against the Rockets for the rest of the slate.
There will be more eventful days of NBA basketball, but there are still plenty of options on the betting board. While you can check out each matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook, here are my favorite player props for November 11.
Zach LaVine Over 19.5 Points (+100)
The Chicago Bulls will be the next team in line attempting to hand the Cavaliers their first loss after their 11-0 start. Chicago is 4-6 to start the season with Zach LaVine having already missed three of these games. In his seven games, LaVine has averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
While Cleveland’s success has been evident, they have not been as dominant defensively as expected. They currently rank 12th in opponents’ points per game giving up 110.2 on average. LaVine made his return from a three-game absence on Saturday which he missed due to a right adductor strain. So far this season LaVine has recorded over 19.5 points in five of the seven games he has played in. He also is leading the Bulls in minutes and tied with Coby White for the most shots per game.
Cleveland looks like a well-oiled machine and enters this game as an 8-point favorite. It will take an impressive offensive output for the Bulls to have a chance and LaVine will be the best option. While I don’t expect the two-time All-Star to have enough in the tank to carry Chicago to a win, count on there being enough shot volume for him to eclipse 19.5 points. LaVine logged 32 minutes in his first game back and should be up for his usual workload tonight. Expect him to lead the scoring charge and record over 19.5 points.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 6.5 Rebounds (+115)
The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to be impacted by injuries with Chet Holmgren being the most notable name to join the list. The former second-overall pick suffered a pelvic fracture last night that is expected to keep him out for 8-10 weeks. With offseason addition Isaiah Hartenstein still recovering from his hand injury and Jaylin Wiliam battling a hamstring issue, the Thunder will be forced into several small-ball lineups.
Expect MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to see a notable uptick in his rebounding production. So far this season he is averaging 26.1 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game. He has tallied as many as 11 rebounds in a game this season and recorded over 6.5 rebounds in four of the ten games.
The Thunder are set to face off with the Clippers tonight and Ivica Zubac will present a tough challenge. Expect it to be an all-hands-on-deck rebounding effort and for Gilgeous-Alexander to be playing a key role. Count on him to record over 6.5 rebounds in this game and capitalize on the +115 odds.
Domantas Sabonis Under 17.5 Points (-115)
Domantas Sabonis is off to a hot start to the season averaging 20.5 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. Unfortunately, he has a tough matchup tonight facing the Spurs. Expect Defensive Player of the Year favorite Victor Wembanyama to be the primary matchup with Sabonis.
So far this season Sabonis has been held under 17.5 points in five of the 10 games. Wembanyama is leading the NBA in blocks with 4.0 per game thus far. He also deters more shots than the numbers indicate. While the 2.1 three-point attempts per game is a career-high thus far, Sabonis is still not overly comfortable shooting from the perimeter, which will present an issue in this matchup.
There will be better games ahead for Sabonis, but expect him to struggle tonight. Wembanyama is a caliber of rim protector that very few players can consider themselves. Expect the Kings to need to rely on other offensive options and for Sabonis to be held under 17.5 points for the sixth time this season.
Bilal Coulibaly Over 22.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-115)
Don’t look now but the second year leap is happening for Bilal Coulibaly. The Wizards standout is averaging 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. He has seen a significant jump in minutes, averaging 34.6 minutes per game, and has delivered in these opportunities.
The odds have not yet fully caught up to Coulibaly and he has been a bit of a cash cow in the player prop department to start the season. The Frenchman has cleared his PRA prop in six of the eight games and gone over his scoring prop in five of the eight games, with the line beginning to climb. So far this year he has recorded over 22.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists in four of the eight games. He is coming off of a 20-point, six-rebound, and six-assist performance last night and will be looking to build off this.
As the Wizards prepare to face the Houston Rockets, expect Coulibaly to make his impact felt. He has scored 20 or more points four times already this season and also makes an impact rebounding while showing flashes as a playmaker. The Rockets are filled with young talent that Coulibaly’s length and athleticism will be useful guarding so expect plenty of minutes. Look for him to clear 22.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists and for Coulibaly to begin becoming a more notable name.
