NFL Pick ‘Em Pools

These pools are easy to use and allow you to have action for the entire NFL season with just one entry fee. For season-long pools, you will go back to the pool every week and pick five games against the spread. Each correct selection is worth one point and each incorrect selection is worth zero points. For single-week pools, the same rules apply.

I will be giving out my five favorite selections and my leans for every other game on the slate every week of the regular season.

Week 9 Picks

Picks Record: 23-17 (57.5%)

Jets +0.5 vs. Texans- The Jets are in total freefall at the moment but the Texans are in a tough spot here. They are really banged up, especially on offense entering this game on a short week. The Texans will be without Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins in this game and the Jets’ secondary should be able to completely shut down C.J. Stroud. The Jets’ kicking situation has also been a disaster this season and they are finally moving on from Greg Zuerlein. The Jets should find a way to finally win one of these close games.

Giants +3.5 vs. Commanders- The Commanders had an incredible win last week on the Hail Mary against the Bears. There could be a major emotional letdown after that game against a Giants team that doesn’t look scary on paper. However, the Giants have a good front seven that should be able to take away the dangerous Washington rushing attack and get after Jayden Daniels. This was a three-point game when these teams played earlier this season in Washington and the Giants should be able to keep it within that number again at home.

Packers +4.5 vs. Lions- Matt LaFleur is putting on a coaching master class this season. After missing multiple games earlier in the season, Jordan Love went out with an injury last week, and just like earlier in the season, the Packers did not miss a beat with Malik Willis. LaFleur is pivoting to basically a brand new offense when Willis comes in and the Packers have performed just as well, if not better. No matter which quarterback plays for Green Bay, it should be able to put up a decent amount of points. Jared Goff has always struggled outdoors and this game is potentially going to be cold and rainy, so that gives the Packers a big advantage.

Buccaneers +8.5 at Chiefs- Patrick Mahomes has always struggled to cover big numbers, including last week against the Raiders. This current iteration of the Chiefs wants to play low-scoring, physical games and win with their defense. The Bucs should be able to run the ball pretty well and also keep the possessions in this game pretty limited. The Chiefs should find a way to win, but this is likely to come down to one score.

Broncos +8.5 at Ravens- Just like Mahomes, Lamar Jackson has struggled to cover big numbers in his career. John Harbaugh has gotten very conservative when his team has a big lead and that has cost them in the past. The Broncos’ defense is the best in the NFL this season by EPA/play. They should make it tough on Baltimore to hit explosive plays and dominate on the ground the way it has the past few weeks. Bo Nix has also been playing smart and avoiding turnovers, which has kept the Broncos from hurting themselves. Just like the Chiefs game, the Ravens should find a way to win, but the Broncos should be able to keep it within one possession.

Saints -6.5 at Panthers

Patriots +3.5 at Titans
