NFL Pick ‘Em Pools
These pools are easy to use and allow you to have action for the entire NFL season with just one entry fee. For season-long pools, you will go back to the pool every week and pick five games against the spread. Each correct selection is worth one point and each incorrect selection is worth zero points. For single-week pools, the same rules apply.
Every week of the regular season I will be giving out my five favorite selections, along with my leans for every other game on the slate.
Week 6 Picks
Picks Record: 14-11 (56%)
49ers -3.5 vs. Seahawks – The 49ers have had a rough start to the season and this is a key divisional game that they really need to win to get back in the driver’s seat in the NFC West. This should be a super-focused effort from the 49ers and they can attack this Seattle secondary that has struggled in recent weeks.
Texans -6.5 vs. Patriots – The Patriots are making a change at QB to rookie Drake Maye. Maye could be great long-term but this Patriots offensive line is one of the worst in the last couple of years in the NFL. As a veteran, Jacoby Brissett has made a lot of plays that have gone unnoticed to prevent turnovers and negative plays. Maye is liable to make a few mistakes against a well-coached Texans defense.
Ravens -6.5 vs. Commanders – The Commanders have been on fire over the past few weeks and Jayden Daniels is playing at an extremely high level. However, they have been on a run of facing bad defenses over the past few weeks. This Ravens defense is one of the best in the league and elite units like this feast on rookie quarterbacks. They will throw things at Daniels that he has never seen before and force some mistakes that the rookie QB has avoided so far this season. The Commanders also have a bad defense, so Lamar will be able to pick them apart with ease.
Buccaneers +2.5 vs. Saints – This line has swung to Bucs -3.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. But because the lines in the pool have locked, you are getting a ton of value here. The line has swung so heavily because Derek Carr will be out for the Saints and either Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler will be getting the start. The Bucs should be able to move the ball against a struggling Saints defense and their defense should hold up against an inexperienced quarterback on the other side, but this is mostly a value pick.
Lions -3.5 vs. Cowboys – The Lions are coming off a bye week while the Cowboys played a competitive emotional Sunday Night Football game that went down to the wire. The Lions should be fresh for this game and have a good game plan to attack the Cowboys’ defense which has been shredded by every good offense they faced. Aidan Hutchinson should also feast against this struggling Cowboys offensive line.
