What happened to Bijan Robinson’s usage in Week 4?

During the first three weeks, Bijan Robinson played in 89%, 75% and 82% of the snaps while Tyler Allgeier was simply there to give him a breather, receiving 18%, 21% and 21% of the snaps. In Week 4, though, Allgeier played in 41.2% of the snaps while Robinson was in on 60.8%.

Leading up to Week 4, Robinson injured his shoulder during practice. There’s been no mention of how the injury occurred or the severity of it, but it may have had something to do with the decrease in playing time.

Robinson rushed seven times for 28 yards, posting a success rate of 28.6%. He did run 21 routes in the passing game and caught all four targets for 46 yards.

Allgeier rushed eight times for 60 yards and had a 75% success rate. He had three runs of 10+ yards and also caught two passes for 20 yards.

The combination of Robinson being banged up and Allgeier having success were the likely reasons in the decreased snap share for Robinson. I have doubts that this is the New World Order, but Allgeier is a must pickup if available because there is a chance that Robinson’s injury is more severe than being led onโ€”or it could become worse.
