Stefon Diggs and the Washington Commanders will suit up for a Sunday Night Football matchup against their Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC rivalry matchup to close out today’s NFL slate.
It has been a disappointing start to the season for Washington, as the Commanders enter this matchup with a 1-4-1 record. But the divisional race is still up for grabs and this is a valuable chance to pick up a victory against a vulnerable rival with a roster depleted by injuries.
Looking at the odds for the Week 8 SNF matchup, the Commanders enter as six-point favorites and hold -270 odds of winning outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Eagles hold +220 odds of winning outright, with the game total set at 40.5.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in this battle of NFC East rivals. Check out the game preview and more on DraftKings Network. For now, here’s my top Stefon Diggs prop bet for Sunday Night Football.
Stefon Diggs Receptions Pick at Commanders
Stefon Diggs Over 4.5 Receptions (+121)
Through the opening five games this season, Stefon Diggs has tallied 24 receptions on 38 targets for 214 yards and four touchdowns. He has six more receptions than any other member of the roster, has been targeted 11 more times than any other pass-catcher, and ranks second on the team in receiving yards behind Terry McLaurin. Both Diggs and Jayden Daniels have battled some issues to start the year, but both will be on the field tonight as Washington attempts to get its season back on track.
The volume of targets thrown in Diggs’ direction is especially encouraging. The four-time Pro Bowler is averaging 7.6 targets per game and has been targeted at least six times in every game this season. Diggs has finished with at least five receptions in three of his five games played and pulled in at least four receptions in each matchup.
This is a great chance to build off the encouraging start, with Philadelphia proving to be vulnerable in the secondary. The Eagles enter this matchup ranking 21st in opponents’ points allowed and 27th in total yards conceded. They rank 26th in total passing yards allowed, with Cooper DeJean not performing at the Pro Bowl level he showed in his first two seasons and Riq Woolen remaining inconsistent in coverage this year. Opponents have had opportunities to find soft spots in the Eagles’ coverage, and we can expect Diggs to be prepared to exploit the unit in the same ways.
There is a sense of urgency that has set in for both of these teams due to their poor starts to the season. This is a crucial matchup for both sides if they are to keep any hopes of winning the division alive, and we can count on Daniels to continue to lean on one of his top pass-catchers. Diggs has performed at an impressive level of late, and the volume of targets he is receiving, along with the defensive matchup, creates a clear pathway for the Commanders’ star to record at least five receptions for the fourth time this year.
