NFL Week 3 is in the books and this is a look at the standings and futures odds at DraftKings Sportsbook heading into Week 4.
Post-NFL Week 3 Standings
This was a pivotal weekend in the NFL. Since 1970, roughly 75% of 3-0 teams make the NFL playoffs. Conversely, no team has ever started 0-3 in the regular season and gone on to win a Super Bowl. A two-game sample size still leaves a lot of room for error but if you lose three straight games to start the year, it could be a tough season. Some teams managed to pick up their first win while others dropped to 0-3. Here is a look at where each division stands after three weeks.
AFC East
The Bills took down the Jaguars on Monday Night Football to move to 3-0 on the season. It has been a great start to the year for the Bills and they already have a divisional win over the Dolphins. The Jets also picked up a divisional win in Week 3, beating the Patriots handily on Thursday Night Football. Aaron Rodgers looked like his old self in the win and the Jets moved to 2-1 on the year.
The Dolphins are in a bad spot after losing Tua Tagovailoa for an extended period of time. The Dolphins lost to the Seahawks and fell to 1-2 on the season while backup QB Skylar Thompson got injured in the process. The Dolphins have dropped all the way to +850 to win the division. After a promising start to the season, the Patriots are now 1-2 after the loss to the Jets. They have some major offensive line issues that could haunt them all season.
AFC North
The Steelers are the surprise team of the league so far. Justin Fields has this team at 3-0 after their win over the Chargers. The Browns suffered a bad home loss to the Giants to move them to 1-2 on the year. The QB play from Deshaun Watson has been really poor and could hold back a good Browns defense this year.
The Ravens and Bengals both started the season 0-2 and needed wins in Week 3. The Ravens beat the Cowboys on the road with a really impressive performance. The Bengals, however, fell to the Commanders to move to a dreadful 0-3. Baltimore is a +115 favorite to win the division after Week 3.
AFC South
The Texans suffered their first loss of the season to the Vikings in Week 3. The Texans were without their top two running backs and the Vikings punished them on both sides of the ball. The Colts picked up their first win of the season against the Bears to get to 1-2.
There are only three 0-3 teams in the entire NFL and two of them are in this division. The Titans lost to the Packers on the back of more Will Levis mistakes. Then the Jaguars lost to the Bills to fall to a shocking 0-3 start. Houston is already -225 to win the division, the second-biggest favorite to win any division at this point in the season.
AFC West
The Chiefs picked up another close win against the Falcons to move to 3-0. The defending champions are undefeated but all three wins have been in really tight games with some controversial officiating decisions going their way. The Chargers lost their first game of the season to the Steelers and Justin Herbert had to leave the game after aggravating his ankle sprain.
The Broncos and rookie QB Bo Nix got their first win against the Bucs to move to 1-2. The Raiders suffered a bad loss to the Panthers the week after their upset win over the Ravens. The Raiders now also sit at 1-2. The Chiefs are the biggest favorites to win any division, already at -900 to win the West.
NFC East
The Eagles sit at 2-1 after their comeback win over the Saints. The Eagles’ offense seems to have some issues but they are comfortably tied at the top of the division for now. The Commanders had a huge victory on Monday Night Football over the Bengals to improve to 2-1 as well.
The Cowboys lost to the Ravens despite a fourth-quarter surge and have now lost two straight to fall to 1-2. The Giants picked up a huge road win over the Browns for their first victory.
NFC North
The Vikings are arguably the best team in the NFL through three weeks. Sam Darnold was on fire again as the Vikings took down the Texans on the road to move to 3-0. They now have wins over two top contenders, the Texans and the 49ers, through just three games. The Lions also picked up a big road win over the Cardinals to move to 2-1 on the season.
The Packers are level with the Lions at 2-1 and they are 2-0 with Malik Willis in at quarterback. They played a great game to beat the Titans in Week 3. The Bears come in at the bottom of the division as their offense continues to struggle. They lost to the Colts to move to 1-2 on the year. The Lions are the favorites to win the division at +145 but it is still one of the closest divisions top-to-bottom.
NFC South
The Saints were on fire in their first two games but their offense stalled out against the Eagles. They lost a close one to Philadelphia to fall to 2-1 on the year. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers also lost their first game of the year to the Broncos.
The Falcons were so close to knocking off the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football but fell just short. They now sit at 1-2 on the year. The Panthers made a QB change to Andy Dalton and looked great in a win over the Raiders to move to 1-2. The odds to win the division are really tight between the Saints, Bucs and Falcons. However, the Saints have a slight edge at +145 to win the division.
NFC West
The Seahawks are one of five undefeated teams after three weeks. They beat the banged-up Dolphins in Week 3 to stay perfect. However, the 49ers are still favorites to win the division at -105.
The rest of the division all sit at 1-2. The Cardinals lost to the Lions in Week 3 in a game where they struggled to get any offense going. The 49ers and Rams went head-to-head and the Rams got a crucial victory to avoid going 0-3. The 49ers are now off to a shocking 1-2 start after looking great in their season opener.
