This season I’ll be posting a weekly article on some of my favorite Week 3 anytime touchdown bets for the games on Sunday. DraftKings Sportsbook offers a plethora of options to choose from and I’ll do my best to comb through the markets and give you some of my best bets to reach the end zone. Let’s jump into it.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals: Jameson Williams anytime touchdown +160
Williams has been a target monster through the first two weeks of the season. After drawing nine in Week 1, he topped that number with 11 in Week 2 against the Buccaneers. Williams has responded to all these targets by making 10 catches for a whopping 200 yards and a touchdown. The best part about all this is Williams is also seeing targets in the red zone. Williams is tied for a league-leading five red zone targets, alongside Courtland Sutton and Trenton Irwin (what a weird list). It’s hard to ignore someone who is getting this much attention, especially in the red zone.
The matchup for Williams is very favorable against the Cardinals secondary. They’ve been very generous to opposing receivers thus far, allowing 25 catches on 33 targets for 329 yards and two touchdowns. Williams has been playing all over the field, with 37% of his snaps out left, 35% on the right and 27% in the slot. Regardless of where he is, there is no matchup that would shy me away from betting on Williams to score. With his big play ability in his arsenal and boasting an aDOT of 13.3, I’m in on Williams as one of my anytime touchdown bets.
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams: George Kittle anytime touchdown +160
Editor’s Note: 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams.
The 49ers have some big injuries on offense that is looking to put Kittle in a prime spot to grab a touchdown in Week 3. Between Christian McCaffrey and no Deebo Samuel on the shelf, Kittle should be near the top of the pecking order for targets. Lots of you will be on Jordan Mason to score a touchdown (maybe even two?) but I really like Kittle at +160. He’s already drawn two red zone targets and turned one of them into a touchdown.
Like we saw last season, the Rams have struggled to contain opposing tight ends. Last year, they allowed eight touchdowns (tied for second-most) and 987 receiving yards (6th most). In the very early going of 2024, tight ends have caught 12 of the 13 targets they’ve received for 132 yards and a touchdown. Brock Purdy is going to have plenty of time to throw in this game against a Rams pass rush that’s nonexistent thus far. Purdy has worked with a clean pocket on 65% of his dropbacks and has an 80% completion rate with 9.4 YPA. In a game where the 49ers are favored by seven (as of Wednesday evening), I really like Kittle to catch his second touchdown of the year.
Touchdown Parlay:
Derrick Henry anytime touchdown -170
Jordan Mason anytime touchdown -190
2 pick parlay +142
Two players I feel strongly about to reach the end zone this week are Henry and Mason. Taking them individually is going to cost a pretty penny, so I’m ok with pairing these two together and getting +142.
Henry has reached the endzone twice already, scoring in both weeks for the Ravens. It was good to see his workload increase in Week 2 after only logging 13 carries against the Chiefs. Henry saw 18 last week against the Raiders. Even though he’s only seen four red zone carries, both of his touchdowns have come from inside the goal line. On a week that has a lot of high game totals, this is one of the biggest at 48.5 points. There should be plenty of opportunities for Henry against what’s been a poor Cowboys run defense so far. The ‘Boys have already allowed five total touchdowns to opposing running backs.
The logic for Mason isn’t hard. He’s second in the league with 11 red zone carries through two weeks and a seven-point favorite this week. The Rams have so many injuries, it’s going to be hard to keep up with the 49ers offense. The Rams are down their top two receivers in Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua and will be struggling on offense. They also have not defended against the run well and have given up the third-most rushing yards and three touchdowns. Both of these players feel safe to score, so I like pairing them up for a plus money parlay.
If you were curious – for both players to score two touchdowns each, that parlay comes out to +1700.
