Procore Championship: PGA TOUR Golf Best Bets, Predictions, Odds to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook

Updated:

By: Landon Silinsky

The PGA TOUR returns after a one-week hiatus and heads to sunny Napa, California. The North Course at Silverado Resort and Spa will host the Procore Championship. The course measures as a 7,123-yard par 72 with Poa Annua greens.

We are back to a full-field, 36-hole cut event after weeks of no-cut events to end the 2024 season.

Below I have outlined my two favorite bets for the week.

Luke Clanton to win (+2000)

Clanton is still a rookie, but is going to be a superstar very soon. He made six starts during the 2024 season, and posted top-10 finishes in three of them, including a solo fifth at the Wyndham Championship and runner-up at the John Deere Classic.

If you don’t include his debut at the U.S. Open, Clanton’s PGA TOUR career is just 18 rounds deep. Over his past 16 rounds in this field, which dates back to the Rocket Mortgage Classic, the 20-year-old ranks No. 1 in this field in both SG: Ball-Striking and SG: Tee-to-Green, while sitting second in Total Strokes Gained.

This event should be right in Clanton’s wheelhouse as well, as he’s a prolific birdie-maker. Over that aforementioned 16-round stretch, only Patrick Fishburn has averaged more birdies per round than the Florida State product. While it seems weird to see such a young player sitting a 20/1 to win a full-field PGA TOUR golf tournament, Clanton has absolutely earned this, and he should be right in the mix come Sunday.

Matt Kuchar to win (+5500)

Kuchar did not want to see the 2024 season come to an end, as he closed the year playing some of the best golf he’s played in a long time. The lanky veteran posted three top-25s over his final four starts, including a T12 at the Wyndham Championship and T3 at the 3M Open.

He will now return to a course that’s treated him well in the past in Silverado. Kuchar has finishes of T12 and T7 each of his past two years at this event, while gaining a combined 9.35 strokes from tee-to-green and 6.41 ball-striking.

In terms of recent rolling numbers, Kuchar ranks seventh in this field both in SG: Approach and Total Strokes Gained over his past 16 rounds. His game is in a great place right now, and he is absolutely live to win this week, in what would be his first victory since the 2018 Mayakoba Golf Classic.

If Kuchar is going to get off the schneid, it’s absolutely going to come during one of these fall events where the fields are weaker. At 55/1, this week is as good as any to back the 46-year-old.
