Stud
Bailey Ober, Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox ($8,300) — It’s not over until it’s Ober. This game is over. The White Sox have a 24% K-Rate, .125 ISO, .270 wOBA and 72 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. Ober is averaging 9.5 K/9 and his xFIP is 3.76. He struck out 11 Tigers and allowed one hit across eight scoreless innings in his last start. The White Sox scored three runs on four hits in six innings against Ober on July 10. He struck out six but was burnt by a two-run homer at Chicago’s hitter-friendly park.

Grant Holmes, Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins ($7,700) — It’s a long way to the top if you want to Rock N’ Roll. Google a Grant Holmes photo. This guy rocks. He rocks hard. He was a first-round pick a decade ago. The Dodgers traded him to the A’s. He was cut after six minor league seasons. Atlanta picked him up in 2023. In two MILB seasons at Gwinett, Holmes averaged north of 11.0 K/9 and a 3.54 ERA in 2023 and 2.63 ERA in 2024. After 10 years in The Minors, he got the call. His relief work impressed the Braves and he was rewarded with his first Big League start on July 29. He rewarded the Braves by allowing one run across five innings and striking out eight Brewers.
INFIELD
Stud
Brandon Lowe, Tampa Bay Rays at Houston Astros ($4,700) — SP Ronel Blanco ($9,200) is living a charmed life. A .188 BABIP and 83% Starnd Rate in 119 innings is unbelievable. His 2.95 ERA can’t last and left-handed hitters will eventually do him in (1.6 HR/9, 4.48 xFIP and 35% Hard Contact). Lowe has a .250 ISO, .356 wOBA and 136 wRC+ vs. right-handed pitchers.
Stud
Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins ($4,900) — This has been a forgettable season for Olson. The last two weeks have been memorable — .447 wOBA, .429 ISO and 191 wRC+. Olson has hit five home runs in the last six games. SP Kyle Tyler ($5,900) has logged 24 innings in 2024. Against left-handed batters, he allows a .408 wOBA, 1.5 HR/9, 4.94 xFIP and 38% Hard Contact Rate.

Michael Toglia, Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres ($4,000) — SP Martin Perez ($6,200) should be a popular target on Saturday’s slate. The Rockies are cheap and Perez allows a .390 wOBA, 1.5 HR/9, 4.88 xFIP and 35% Hard Contact to right-handed batters. Colorado outside of Coors is concerning but they’re cheap.
Value
Jacob Stallings, Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres ($2,800) — Cheap catchers are always a play. Cheap catchers with positive splits are popular. Martin Perez struggles with right-handed hitters and Stallings can hit lefties (.406 wOBA, .291 ISO and 150 wRC+). Stallings has stalled out in his last several games, but from July 20 to July 26, he collected eight hits in five games.
OUTFIELD
Stud
Jarren Duran, Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers ($5,900) — SP Dane Dunning ($)6,600) is another pitcher worth targeting on Saturday’s slate. Dunning allows a .285 ISO and .375 wOBA to left-handed hitters. Duran has a .390 wOBA, .270 ISO and 149 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers.
Stud
Lane Thomas, Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles ($5,200) — Wrong Lane on Friday (0-for-4). He should get back on track and head down the right path in a decent home matchup with SP Zach Eflin ($7,200) — .329 wOBA and 1.4 HR/9 vs. RHB. Lane’s splits aren’t statistically exciting, but his DFS game log is four games with double-digit DKFP in the last six games.
Value
Stuart Fairchild, Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants ($2,800) — Coors Field isn’t on Saturday’s slate. Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park is. An outfielder with a salary under $3,000 doesn’t need much thought in Colorado. The same is true for Cincinnati on this slate. The Reds should be fired up after getting no-hit on Friday.
Value
Mike Yastrzemski, San Francisco Giants at Cincinnati Reds ($3,200) — Hunter Greene ($8,700) might earn 10 strikeouts. Yas could help with a couple of those. Yas could also put one over the wall in Cincy. Greene has been great and unhittable in July, but he does have a propensity to allow homers in Cincinnati (career 1.7 HR/9). Mike Yastrzemski has a .205 ISO, .325 wOBA and 114 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers.
