Sunday’s six-game NHL slate features several appealing player props on DraftKings Sportsbook. My best bets are Brandon Hagel to record 3+ shots on goal, plus both Mitch Marner and Jesper Bratt to register 1+ assist.

Best NHL Player Props for November 8

Brandon Hagel 3+ Shots on Goal (-110)

The last time Hagel faced the Jets, he totaled one goal, two assists and five shots on goal in a 6-4 win on Oct. 29. The 28-year-old has logged 62 shots on goal through 16 games, and at 5v5, his 12.36 shots on goal per 60 and 17.46 unblocked shot attempts per 60 both rank second among 575 skaters with at least 100 minutes of 5v5 ice time.

Hagel was held without a shot in Saturday’s overtime win in Minnesota, and the Lightning are on the second night of a back-to-back, but he has still put three or more pucks on net in seven of his past 10 outings. Winnipeg allows 29.06 shots per game, the eighth-most in the league, and its penalty kill ranks 27th (69.4%). The price is close to even money, but a shooter with this kind of 5v5 volume is tough to fade against a defense that gives up so many looks.

Mitch Marner 1+ Assist (-120)

Buffalo’s penalty kill ranks T-25th (69.6%), and that should be a big problem against a Vegas power play that converts at 27.8% (seventh). Marner is the primary playmaker on the top unit, and eight of his 18 points have come with the man advantage.

The 29-year-old has notched an assist in nine of his past 10 games, and his 16 apples in 16 outings tie Jack Eichel for the team lead. Among skaters with at least 100 minutes, he ranks 10th in secondary assists per 60 (1.47). Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen should log his second straight start for the Sabres with an .878 SV% and 3.27 GAA, and his -1.0 GSAx and -0.18% SV% above expected rank 43rd and 36th, respectively, among 75 goaltenders.

Jesper Bratt 1+ Assist (-110)

New Jersey’s 33.94 shots per game rank first in the NHL, and Bratt has been on the ice for much of that volume. Among skaters with at least 100 minutes, the 28-year-old ranks third in on-ice shot attempts per 60 (84.11) and T-8th in on-ice xGoals for per 60 (5.45).

Bratt has picked up an assist in four straight outings and seven of his past 10 games. Toronto’s penalty kill ranks fourth (86.9%), but the Maple Leafs have been much easier to handle at 5v5, allowing 3.04 goals per 60, the fifth-most in the NHL. Both teams are on the second night of a back-to-back, but the opportunities to create plays should be there for Bratt.
