Green Bay Packers vs. Carolina Panthers DraftKings Pick6 Picks for TNF

By: Blake Krass

There is a great Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 8 of the NFL season. The Green Bay Packers are hosting the Carolina Panthers in an exciting primetime matchup.

Here are my top Pick6 plays for Thursday Night Football.

Packers vs. Panthers DraftKings Pick6 Picks for Thursday Night Football

Jordan Love More Than 229.5 Passing Yards (Promo Pick)

There is a great promo pick on Jordan Love’s passing yards for Thursday Night Football on DraftKings Pick6. The original line set would have required Love to throw for more than 257.5 passing yards. However, this promo pick lowers that line down to just 229.5 passing yards. Love has thrown for at least 230 passing yards in each of his past three games, and in all three home games played this season.

Jordan Love has been a different beast at Lambeau so far this season. He is averaging 250.8 passing yards per game and 6.9 yards per attempt on the road. However, he is averaging 318.3 passing yards per game and 7.6 yards per attempt at home. This is a Carolina offense playing well that is coming to town. Green Bay will likely need to put up some points to win this game, so Love should be aggressive through the air. He should clear this number for the fourth consecutive game.

Christian Watson Longest Reception More Than 24.5 Yards

Christian Watson is having an excellent season in Green Bay. He ranks in the top seven in the NFL in receiving yards, yards per catch and receiving touchdowns. Watson has always been a dangerous deep-ball threat, but was never able to provide the consistency of a real WR1. This season, he has been a true WR1 for Jordan Love. Watson needs just 26 yards in this game to reach a new career single-season high. He is still the same dangerous threat downfield, with the reliability of catching a few more balls per game to supplement the long passing game.

Christian Watson has at least eight targets in six of seven games this season. There is a chance that Green Bay’s other standout receiver, Matthew Golden, misses this game. That would only increase the target share for Watson. He should be able to catch one deep shot down the field. He has a catch of 25 yards or more in each of his past three games. Watson has also hit that mark in every home game this season. He should do so again on Thursday night.

Chuba Hubbard More Than 0.5 Rush + Rec Touchdowns

Chuba Hubbard is the clear lead back in Carolina this season. He has 96 carries this season, while backup running back AJ Dillon has just 17 carries. Hubbard gets almost all the touches out of the backfield, especially in the red zone. Hubbard has six total touchdowns through six games and should find the end zone again in primetime in Green Bay. The Packers rank 30th in the NFL in defensive rushing success rate. They don’t give up many long runs, but teams have been able to get the key yards against them when needed.

Green Bay ranks 28th in the NFL in opponent rushing touchdown percentage. They are one of just five teams in the NFL to have given up at least 50% of their touchdowns on the ground this season. It is always tough going on the road to Green Bay, and Dave Canales will want to make life easy on Bryce Young. There is no better way to do that than by running the ball early and often. Hubbard should get plenty of touches in this game and find success in the red zone.
