Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys prediction, pick for NFL Week 7 on Monday 10/26/26

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys prediction, pick for NFL Week 7 on Monday 10/26/26

Updated:

By: Dan Johnson

Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer calls himself an “elite play caller” while his Cowboys have scored 29 points across two straight losses. Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni has lost four straight; quarterback Jalen Hurts remains out indefinitely. Both teams are 2–4. They renew their feud at Lincoln Financial Field while the Giants head into their bye at 4–2–1. Below is my preview, prediction, and pick for this week’s NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Eagles vs. Cowboys prediction, preview

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott drove Dallas to 30.5 points per game through four weeks, then threw four interceptions across the last two. Against blitzes in those losses, he completed just 52.6%. Green Bay disguised their pressures and dropped defenders into his quick answers; Dallas completed only one pass longer than seventeen yards despite throwing 54 times. Prescott plans to simplify his responses to pressure. Philadelphia defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has blitzed on just 24.1% of dropbacks. Edge rusher Nolan Smith is out, with fellow rushers Jonathan Greenard and Jalyx Hunt questionable; Fangio may struggle to replicate Green Bay’s pressure.

Dallas receiver CeeDee Lamb roasted Houston for 189 yards on 17 catches, beating defenders on outs, screens and crossers. Carolina just attacked Philadelphia’s coverage exchanges with motion and switch releases. Schottenheimer already calls passes on approximately 68% of first-and-ten plays; I expect him to keep working through Lamb and fellow receiver George Pickens. Dallas running back Javonte Williams averages 3.7 YPC, and the Cowboys have managed only seven runs of ten-plus yards. Prescott has to carry this offense.

Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee starts consecutive games for the first time after preparing for Carolina with only two days of first-team reps. Offensive coordinator Sean Mannion has begun stopping practice before snaps and making players explain their jobs. McKee released the ball in 2.26 seconds on average, yet gained only 215 yards on 45 attempts. Receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, who commanded eighteen targets between them, are now out.

Cowboys vs. Eagles pick, best bet

Dallas keeps surrendering short completions: opponents have connected on 83.6% of targeted throws traveling ten air yards or fewer. Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught six passes for 61 yards against Carolina and is cleared. Running back Saquon Barkley remains questionable after practicing fully Saturday; he averaged 5.5 YPC in his two healthy games. Dallas has surrendered 149.8 rushing yards per game. Center Drew Kendall is cleared. Philadelphia could also regain guard Landon Dickerson, who still needs activation, but Barkley hasn’t played since right tackle Lane Johnson retired.

Dallas nevertheless generates pressure on 36.5% of dropbacks, with linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Cobie Durant cleared to return. McKee must exploit their coverage without his busiest receiver while his line repairs its communication. Barkley can revive Philadelphia’s rushing, but the Eagles still need McKee to finish possessions with a depleted receiving corps. Prescott has both primary receivers, and Williams has already scored eight touchdowns while handling fifteen goal-line carries, tied for the league lead. I’ll back Dallas to turn more of those trips into touchdowns.

Best bet: Cowboys -4.5 (-108).

Projected score: Cowboys 27, Eagles 20.

Best Bet: Cowboys -4.5 (-110) at Eagles
