Closing out the Week 7 NFL slate with a Monday Night Football matchup, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
Neither of these NFC East opponents has gotten off to the start to the season they desire. Both sides hold a 2-4 record this year, trailing the New York Giants for the top spot in the division with their 4-2-1 record. Injuries have become a major factor for Philadelphia, while Dallas has not been able to fix the defensive issues they hoped to address this offseason.
Looking at the odds, the Cowboys enter as 4.5-point favorites with -218 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Eagles hold +180 odds to pull off the upset, with the game total set at 44.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved beyond just backing a side or total. Let’s take a look at my top three favorite player props for the Week 7 Monday Night Football matchup.
Cowboys at Eagles NFL Player Prop Bets for Monday Night Football
George Pickens Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
It was a quiet start to the season for George Pickens, but he has made up for lost time in recent weeks. Through six games, he has recorded 33 receptions for 428 receiving yards and a touchdown. After being limited to just 68 receiving yards through the first two games, Pickens has averaged 90.0 yards per game over the past four weeks. He has posted receiving totals of 82, 75, 130 and 73 yards while continuing to command a significant share of the Cowboys’ passing attack.
Philadelphia has leaned on its defensive identity, but injuries have created challenges on both sides of the ball. The Eagles have struggled to consistently limit opposing offenses, entering this matchup ranked 17th in points allowed and 26th in total yards conceded. They have been particularly vulnerable against the pass, ranking 20th in net yards per pass attempt and 27th in total passing yards allowed.
The last time Pickens faced this Eagles defense, he pulled in nine targets for 146 yards and a touchdown. That was a more effective version of the Philadelphia defense, and Pickens has an opportunity to produce against a unit that has struggled to contain opposing receivers this season. Wide receivers like Puka Nacua (125 yards), Parker Washington (124), Jalen Coker (97), Kalif Raymond (90), and Tetairoa McMillan (86) have all cleared this prop line in recent games.
Expect CeeDee Lamb to draw significant attention from cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, potentially creating a more favorable outlook for Pickens. Count on the 63.5 receiving-yard line to be low enough for the Cowboys’ wideout to clear, extending his streak to five consecutive games above this mark.
Makai Lemon Longest Reception Over 17.5 Yards (-104)
The injury report has stacked up quickly for the Eagles this year. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of blood clots, DeVonta Smith will miss this week’s matchup with a hamstring injury, and Dontayvion Wicks is sidelined with an ankle issue. Philadelphia’s offensive line has also been depleted. Even Dallas Goedert is dealing with a knee injury that has forced him to miss multiple games, though he has been cleared to play Monday night. Someone has to catch the ball on this Eagles roster, and first-round pick Makai Lemon continues to see his role expand.
Through his first six NFL games, Lemon has tallied 18 receptions on 28 targets for 127 receiving yards. He has seen his workload expand in recent weeks, recording at least three receptions in four straight games and drawing at least five targets in each of those contests. If there is any matchup to further spark the rookie’s production, it is this Cowboys’ defense. Dallas enters this week ranking 25th in opponents’ points allowed and 30th in total yards conceded. They have been vulnerable across the board, but rank 29th in net yards per pass attempt and 23rd in total passing yards conceded. The Cowboys have also allowed the 12th-most yards after the catch and recorded the 10th-most missed tackles.
Philadelphia has not done a great job of putting the USC product in favorable positions to start the year. The Eagles have leaned on him in the screen game, where Lemon has an opportunity to make defenders miss with the ball in his hands. Given the lack of reliable pass-catching options available, expect Lemon to see an expanded role and have opportunities to generate a big play. He has recorded a longest reception of over 17.5 yards in two of his six games played, and with a favorable matchup and expanded role I like him to break free for a notable gain at least once tonight.
Saquon Barkley to Record 25+ Receiving Yards (+210)
One reinforcement expected to return tonight is Saquon Barkley. The three-time Pro Bowler is officially listed as questionable after missing the past two games with a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury during the first drive of the Week 4 matchup against the Rams. The former Offensive Player of the Year was also limited to five total touches against the Titans in Week 2. Barkley’s return would not fully make up for the Eagles’ other missing pieces, but Philadelphia needs everything it can get from its star running back.
Across the four games in which he has appeared this season, Barkley has recorded 36 carries for 182 rushing yards and four receptions for eight receiving yards. The Eagles’ offensive line has struggled to generate consistent push, even before Lane Johnson retired and Cam Jurgens was traded. Injuries remain a factor, and the lack of rushing production has had more to do with the team’s struggles in the trenches than the running backs themselves.
With this in mind, expect the Eagles to get creative in putting the ball in Barkley’s hands as a receiver. Tanner McKee has not had an ideal start filling in for Hurts under center, and getting Barkley involved in the passing game could help take some pressure off the backup quarterback. While Barkley has not played much of a role in the passing game this year, he has demonstrated plenty of receiving ability throughout his career. He averaged 45.1 receiving yards per game and 5.7 receptions per game during his rookie season. He has the ability to make defenders miss in space, and Philadelphia will need everything he can bring to the table tonight. The standard receiving prop for Barkley is set at 15.5 yards on DraftKings Sportsbook. But given the limited offensive options on this Eagles’ attack, I am pushing the total a bit higher at 25+ yards in the primetime matchup.
