The 76ers are visiting the Knicks on Tuesday night to begin the 2026-27 NBA season. On DraftKings Sportsbook, New York is favored by 4.5 points, and this game carries a total of O/U 232.5 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite Jaylen Brown player prop on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup.

Jaylen Brown U 21.5 Points (-122)

Brown averaged a career-high 28.7 PPG with the Celtics last season, but he is in a much different situation with the 76ers this season. Brown saw a 36.2% usage rate last season as Boston’s main player with Jayson Tatum sidelined until March, but that number will be far lower playing alongside Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and LeBron James in Philadelphia.

All three of these players saw usage rates of at least 26% last season, notably with Embiid handling a 33.6% usage rate. The former MVP remains the 76ers’ centerpiece, and Maxey is also likely ahead of Brown in the 76ers’ pecking order. Brown seeing a usage rate around 22-25% makes sense. With so many mouths to feed for this team, his scoring is going to come down dramatically.

The 76ers played two preseason games with Brown, Embiid, Maxey, and James active. Brown scored 18 and 20 points in these games. Brown even got up to 31 minutes in that latter contest, which is around the type of workload he should see in tonight’s season opener vs. the Knicks.

This matchup vs. the defending champions is also a concern. New York ranked seventh in defensive rating and 25th in pace last season. OG Anunoby is one of the best wing defenders in the NBA, and he should spend the majority of this game guarding Brown.

Brown having an underwhelming 76ers debut is possible in this spot, and 21.5 points is just too high of a line for the wing.
