Prediction, pick for Chad Anheliger vs. Steven Koslow at UFC Edmonton

The second Bantamweight fight on tonight’s UFC Fight Night in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is Chad Anheliger vs. Steven Koslow. This fight features two fighters returning after a long layoff: Anheliger hasn’t fought since November 2024, and Koslow last fought in December 2022. The Prelims start at 5:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Check out my best bet for Chad Anheliger vs. Steven Koslow at tonight’s UFC Fight Night below.

Fight Not to Go the Distance (-170)

Anheliger, 39, is 13-8 with 10 finishes but has gone 1-3 in his previous four bouts. He has been sidelined for nearly two years due to a major knee injury. Anheliger has been in the UFC since 2022 and has gone 2-3 in five UFC fights. His last UFC win came against Charalampos Grigoriou in March 2024.

Koslow is returning to the UFC after nearly four years away. Since he last fought, Koslow dealt with many injuries, including ones to his ACL and orbital bone. From May 2019 to July 2022, Koslow had an impressive start to his MMA career, gaining 6-0 with six first-round submissions. At UFC 282, Koslow suffered a third-round knockout loss to Cameron Saaiman in his lone UFC fight.

Koslow has the physical advantage over Anheliger in this contest, as he is taller (5’7″ vs. 5’6″) and has the edge in standing reach (69″ vs. 64″). In this bout on DraftKings Sportsbook, Koslow is the favorite at -175 with Anheliger as a +145 underdog. This contest has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over at -200 and the under at +154.

Since this fight features two fighters who haven’t fought in quite some time, it is hard to back either one right now. That is why my favorite play in this bout is for the fight to not go the distance at -170. All seven of Koslow’s fights have ended by finish. Also, four of Anheliger’s previous six wins and six of his eight career defeats have come by finish. Although both fighters could start slowly due to their lack of recent cage time, they’ll likely aim for a knockout or submission to reintroduce themselves to fans in a big way.
