Tyler Higbee and the Los Angeles Rams will prepare for a high-profile Monday Night Football matchup with the Buffalo Bills to close out the Week 5 NFL slate. Both teams hold legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, and this is a key measuring stick matchup for both sides.
Looking at the odds for tonight, the Rams enter as 3.5-point favorites and hold -175 odds to win outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Bills hold +145 odds to produce the upset, with the game total set at O/U 54.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action. You can check out the preview for the game outlook and plenty more on DraftKings Network here. But let’s look at my top Tyler Higbee prop bet for tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup.
Tyler Higbee Best Reception Pick vs. Bills
Tyler Higbee Over 2.5 Receptions (-114)
There are plenty of dynamic weapons in the Los Angeles Rams’ attack. While Puka Nacua and Davante Adams headline the passing game, this Rams system is extremely dependent on the production from the tight end position, especially while Terrance Ferguson and Colby Parkinson have battled injuries. Tyler Higbee has climbed to the top receiving option of the tight end group this year.
Through the opening four games, Higbee has tallied 15 receptions on 19 targets for 141 yards and a touchdown already this season. He has especially come alive these past two games. Higbee tallied eight receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos, and five receptions on six targets for 67 yards last week against the Eagles over the past two weeks. He will now prepare to suit up against a Bills’ defense which offers lesser resistance than the defenses he has carved up recently.
Looking at the matchup, Buffalo ranks 25th in opponents’ passing yards allowed and 27th in total yards conceded. They are especially vulnerable against the pass, ranking 30th in passing yards allowed, 29th in passing touchdowns conceded, and 22nd in net yards per pass attempt. Buffalo is allowing 5.4 receptions per game to the tight end position thus far. While their rushing defense leaves plenty to be desired as well, ranking 18th in rushing yards allowed and 10th in rushing touchdowns conceded, this is a matchup where it makes sense for Los Angeles to attack through the air.
Even as the Rams begin to get healthier, Higbee should remain heavily involved in the passing game. Terrance Ferguson was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury on October 2 and will not be eligible to return until Week 8. Colby Parkinson is expected to return after practicing fully, but Higbee’s recent production and the Rams’ heavy use of multi-tight-end sets should keep him involved as a receiving option against Buffalo. Last season they logged 331 snaps in 13 personnel, with the Pittsburgh Steelers recording the second-highest snaps in this alignment with 145 on the year. Even as injuries have played a role in limiting this option, the Rams have remained committed to the tight ends being involved.
There will be so much defensive attention committed to the two star wide receivers on the outside that there should be a clear path for Higbee and the tight ends to contribute over the middle. The level of volume that Higbee has seen these past two weeks is too much to overlook, and there are still question marks about each player returning from injury. Count on Higbee remaining involved throughout the matchup and adding to his streak with back-to-back games with 5+ receptions by recording over 2.5 catches once again tonight.
