Tonight’s UFC Fight Night features a three-round Women’s Bantamweight fight between Alice Pereira and Daria Zhelezniakova. Pereira enters with a 7-1 record and six finishes, while Zhelezniakova is 10-3 with five knockouts. Zhelezniakova, 30, is 10 years older than Pereira, who is only 20. This fight is taking place on the Prelims, which begin at 5:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Alice Pereira to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Decision (-125)
Zhelezniakova is Russian but trains in Paris, France, at the MMA Factory. The MMA Factory is home to UFC Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane and is run by Head Coach Fernand Lopez. Zhelezniakova has started her UFC career 2-2, with her last win in the promotion coming against Melissa Mullins. Pereira is coming off her first UFC victory, scoring a second-round knockout over Hailey Cowan in April. So far in her MMA career, Pereira has shown she is a tremendous finisher, with six of her seven wins coming by knockout or submission.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Pereira is a -135 favorite, while Zhelezniakova is a +114 underdog. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds, with the over at -230 and the under at +175. Zhelezniakova is slightly taller (5’9″ vs. 5’8″), but Pereira has a three-inch reach advantage (71″ vs. 68″).
Due to her athleticism and power advantage, I give Pereira the edge in this contest. As Pereira showed in her previous bout, when she is aggressive, it is tough for opponents to find success. Since Pereira’s last six wins have come by knockout or decision, I’m taking her to win by KO/TKO/DQ or decision at -125 against Zhelezniakova. Even though Pereira won her first MMA fight by submission, this fight will likely take place on the feet since it involves two primary strikers.
