I pray to the gods to turn injuries off. I don’t even get a nod, as if I committed a faux pas. What are the odds? But the show must go on. A bench player shall spawn, don the gear and enter the arena like something from Tron. We also have weather to worry about. Receivers could doubt themselves while running a route. The teams with offensive lines that are stout will increase their chances of winning, no doubt. We are now in Week 4; another battle between offenses and defenses is in store. Whatever you may think, the results will surely be different than before. But for us fantasy nerds, all we care about is if our players score more and more.
We’ve got 12 games on Sunday’s main slate. Four of them have a spread of three points or fewer on DraftKings Sportsbook. Two games have double-digit favorites: Baltimore -11.5 over Tennessee and Minnesota -10 over Miami. Six games have a total of at least 45 points, with Jacksonville-Cincinnati having the highest at 51.5 points. The lowest total is the Miami-Minnesota at 38.5 points. There are five home dogs.

Quarterback
Stud
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars ($6,800) – No weather concerns, and the 51.5-point total is the highest on the slate. The Jaguars have one of the league’s best run defenses, so the path of least resistance is through the air. In addition, Jacksonville is potent on offense and could force Cincinnati to maintain aggression. Burrow has plenty of options and has improved with each game this season, most recently going 28-for-37 for 282 yards and three touchdowns in Pittsburgh — good for 23.6 FPTS. Burrow has reached 30 FPTS 14 times in his career, including three 30+ FPTS performances. I’m not saying he’s going for 30+ in this one, but I’m not saying he won’t.
Other Options – Lamar Jackson ($7,300), Brock Purdy ($6,700), Matthew Stafford ($6,200)
Value
Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins ($5,300) – I do like Trevor Lawrence as well, especially since that game could have the best fantasy environment on the slate. That said, I don’t mind paying down $600 for what should be a low-owned Murray against one of the worst defenses in football. Murray was knocked out of Minnesota’s season opener early on but returned in Week 3 against a Buccaneers team with a solid pass defense. Well, he’s back home for this one. Sure, Justin Jefferson is out, but Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson are pretty good receivers in their own right. Miami is allowing an NFL-worst 80.3% completion rate and a 118.9 passer rating. Their pressure rate is fourth-lowest, and the unit has not racked up a sack yet.
Other Options – Trevor Lawrence ($5,900), CJ Stroud ($5,700), Bo Nix ($5,600), Sam Darnold ($5,500), Geno Smith ($5,200), Jacoby Brissett ($5,000)
Running Back
Stud
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos ($7,700) – After playing around 50% of snaps in the first two weeks, McCaffrey was on 83% in Week 3. He now faces a Broncos defense that’s allowed 431 yards, three touchdowns, 5.1 yards per carry, and 143.7 rushing yards per game. San Francisco has the eighth-best offensive line per PFF, and Denver can’t stack the box because Brock Purdy is playing at a high level. Meanwhile, George Kittle looks unbelievable despite coming off Achilles surgery.
Other Options – Derrick Henry ($8,400), Kenneth Walker III ($8,200), D’Andre Swift ($6,400), Cam Skattebo ($6,100)
Value
Braelon Allen, New York Jets at Chicago Bears ($5,200) – With Breece Hall ruled out, Allen should get the bulk of the work for the Jets. The former Wisconsin standout produced 3,495 yards on 5.9 yards per carry with 35 rushing touchdowns in three seasons for the Badgers before getting drafted by the Jets in 2024. During his rookie season, Allen started two of 17 games and rushed for 92 yards and 334 yards, two touchdowns, while catching 19 of 27 targets for 148 yards and a touchdown. The matchup is good, as Chicago has allowed 351 yards, three touchdowns, 5.1 yards per carry, and 117 rushing yards per game. Geno Smith has played well, so drives should be sustained while the Bears can’t simply stack the box.
Other Options – Aaron Jones Sr. ($6,000), Bucky Irving ($6,000), Kyren Williams ($5,900), Jeremiyah Love ($5,800), David Montgomery ($5,700), Bhayshul Tuten ($5,600), Emanuel Wilson ($4,700), George Holani ($4,500), Keaton Mitchell ($4,300)
Wide Receiver
Stud
Nico Collins, Houston Texans vs. Dallas Cowboys ($7,200) – It’s hard not to click on Jaxon Smith-Njigba since he’s garnering a 33.9% target share, has received double-digit targets in every game, and put up 29.2, 45.5, and 38.4 FPTS to start the season. You don’t think a desperate, winless Chargers team knows that? In addition, $9,100 is mighty expensive. Collins has missed the last two games due to injury, but he caught seven of 10 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown — good for 21.2 FPTS — in Houston’s season opener against the Bills. Now he faces a Cowboys pass defense that has allowed seven passing touchdowns, a 72.6% completion rate, and a 121.3 passer rating. Collins may not have JSN’s ceiling, but he’s $1,900 cheaper and in a plum matchup. This game has a healthy 48.5-point total, so it could be a back-and-forth affair as well.
Other Options – Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($9,100), Ja’Marr Chase ($8,100), Puka Nacua ($7,500), Garrett Wilson ($6,800), Christian Watson ($6,700), Parker Washington ($6,500), Rashee Rice ($6,400), Jaylen Waddle ($6,200), Tee Higgins ($6,100)
Value
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins ($5,300) – With Justin Jefferson out after leaving early last week, Addison caught five of nine targets for 90 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson is out for this one, and the matchup with Miami is pristine.
Other Options – Michael Wilson ($5,500), Matthew Golden ($5,400), Luther Burden III ($5,200), Jakobi Meyers ($5,000), Wan’Dale Robinson ($4,600), Malik Washington ($4,400), Dontayvion Wicks ($4,300), Makai Lemon ($4,100), Chris Bell ($3,700), Cody White ($3,100)
Tight End
Stud
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders ($5,000) – Kelce looks rejuvenated and leads the Chiefs with 19 targets. Patrick Mahomes is healthy, and Kenneth Walker III has provided an element to the offense that’s been lacking for years. That spells trouble for opposing defenses, and Andy Reid is having fun messing with their minds. Kelce has scored double-digit FPTS in every game and now faces a Raiders team that’s been the third-most generous to the position so far this season.
Other Options – Brock Bowers ($6,900), Trey McBride ($6,500), George Kittle ($5,100), Jake Ferguson ($4,300)
Value
AJ Barner, Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Chargers ($3,000) – With Sam Darnold under center last week, Barner caught five of nine targets for 69 yards. He’s also been used as a tush pusher in short-yardage situations and scored a rushing touchdown in Week 2. Barner was second on the target totem pole last week with four of those in the red zone.
Other Options – Mike Gesicki ($3,300), TJ Hockenson ($3,300), Brenton Strange ($3,200), Zach Ertz ($3,100), Tyler Higbee ($3,100)
Defense/Special Teams
Stud
Vikings DST vs. Miami Dolphins ($4,000) – Minnesota blitzes at the league’s highest rate (68.4%). The unit leads the league in pressure rate and sacks. The Vikings’ six forced turnovers rank fourth. Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis has thrown two interceptions and taken nine sacks.
Other Options – Ravens DST ($3,800), Seahawks DST ($3,500), Packers DST ($3,200)
Value
Rams DST at Philadelphia Eagles ($2,600) – The Rams haven’t been great at generating pressure or racking up sacks and turnovers. Still, the pass defense is holding quarterbacks to a 56% completion rate and has intercepted three passes. The Eagles offense is discombobulated right now and will be without top receiver DeVonta Smith.
Other Options – Bears DST ($3,000), Texans DST ($2,900)
