Josiah Harrell Moneyline (-122)
Brener is the more experienced fighter in this contest, with 10 more fights and five more than Harrell in the UFC. In 2023, Brener made his UFC debut and started 3-0 in the promotion. But now he is in the midst of a three-fight losing streak, the longest of his career. His last victory came in November 2023 against Kaynan Kruschewsky. Harrell lost to elite prospect Jacobe Smith in February by first-round knockout. Before that, Harrell had an elite start to his MMA career, going 11-0 with six knockouts and four submissions.
In this fight, Harrell is the favorite at -122 with Brener as a +102 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. This fight is -105 to go the distance and -125 to end before the 15 scheduled minutes are up. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds, with the over at -135 and the under at +105.
Although both fighters are coming off a loss, Harrell is eight months removed from his last win while Brener’s latest victory came nearly three years ago. Harrell will need to be the aggressor in this bout as Brener has the height (5’10” vs. 5’7″) and reach advantage (72″ vs. 68″). I think Harrell’s biggest advantage in this contest is his striking. Brener absorbs 5.86 significant strikes per minute, which is a ton. If Harrell puts out a high volume of strikes, he should be able to break Brener down throughout the bout.
