Through two weeks, Matthew Golden is second in targets and receiving yards while being tied with Christian Watson for the most catches for Green Bay. It’s a stark contrast to his rookie season, where he finished tied for fourth in targets, sixth in catches and fourth in receiving yards. Golden looks to have made a big step forward in this offense, and with the injury to Jayden Reed in Week 2, his impact in this offense will only increase moving forward.

Golden has gone over this total in each of his first two games this season. In Week 1, he was targeted a whopping 12 times, catching six of those for 95 yards. He wasn’t as involved in Week 2 against the Jets, but weather played a huge role in that game. He finished that game with four receptions on six targets for 58 yards. He’s averaging 76.5 receiving yards so far and will now face a Falcons team that is 23rd in receiving yards allowed so far, giving up 239 yards per game through the air through two weeks.

Golden and Watson should be a huge part of the game plan in this one. Atlanta has the best rush defense in football so far, with a bottom-10 pass defense. Expect Jordan Love to air it out, and for Golden to be in line for a big night.
