It has not been a pretty start to the season for either of these teams.
Yes, the Packers are coming off a victory in Week 2, but it was one that required taking the lowly Jets into overtime. Meanwhile, the Falcons are 0-2 and just lost by 31 points to a division rival. Need I say more?
Still, someone has to win this Thursday Night Football matchup and, most likely, someone has to score the game’s first touchdown. Let’s break down the odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook and make a couple picks.
Falcons vs. Packers First Touchdown Scorer Odds

Falcons vs. Packers First Touchdown Scorer Picks
Drake London First TD Scorer (+1100)
Here’s a fun stat — unless you’re a fan of the Falcons — Atlanta enters Week 3 as the lone team in the NFL yet to take a snap inside their opponent’s 20. In fact, every other team in the league has at least three red zone drives through two weeks. That means the Falcons are in they’re own stratosphere of offensive futility in 2026, which is why I simply can not back Bijan Robinson (+400) to score this game’s opening touchdown. The odds are far too short, even with Michael Penix Jr. (+4500) back under center. So, let’s go with London instead. The former eighth-overall pick should be the man who most benefits from Penix’s return, and London led all Atlanta pass catchers with 13 red zone targets last season. Let’s bank on the wideout’s talent finally shining through on Thursday night.
Chris Brooks First TD Scorer (+1500)
While Kaleb Johnson (+1000) is the flavor of the week in fantasy circles after emerging in Week 2, I think we should all be talking a little more about Chris Brooks. Or, at the very least, we should all agree that it’s a little strange to see Brooks’ first touchdown odds this far behind Johnson and MarShawn Lloyd (+1000). Did you know that Brooks has led the Packers’ running backs in snap share each of the team’s first two games? He registered a 55.9% rate versus the Vikings and a 45.7% rate against the Jets. Were you also aware of the fact that Brooks has seen a team-high 50.0% of Green Bay’s rushing attempts inside the red zone this season? Seems relevant to this market. At the end of the day, Matt LaFleur is going to treat this backfield like a committee, and that’s going to be annoying for betting purposes. However, if I can get the guy who is in the game most often at the longest odds, I’m going to take that chance every single time.
