Best player props for Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders for NFL Week 2

Below, I break down my favorite player prop bets for Saturday evening’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders.

Cowboys vs. Commanders player props

CeeDee Lamb o6.5 total receptions (+150)

Washington paired frequent blitzes with two-high safety shells in its opener, borrowing from Minnesota under its new defensive coordinator. Dak Prescott has transcended that scheme exceptionally well: over the past three seasons, he ranks second in YPA against blitzes from two-high shells. This is his sort of pressure package to dominate against.

Prescott directed 40% of his first-read targets to Lamb in Dallas’s game against Minnesota last season. I like the precedent, though one meeting hardly obliges Washington to defend him identically. Lamb just finished among the top 10 receivers in expected fantasy points against the Giants, and that was despite Dallas possessing the ball only twice after halftime. Prescott kept looking for him when the Cowboys actually got to play. He will do so today as well.

For seven catches at +125, I need Lamb to get there more than 44.4% of the time. I expect nine to 11 targets, with Prescott continuing to show a penchant for feeding his most established receiver when Washington sends pressure. George Pickens will get his target share, and I still like Lamb to catch seven all the same.

Jayden Daniels 36+ rushing yards (-115)

Jaxson Dart ran for 54 yards against Dallas last Sunday, which is uncomfortable kickoff for a Cowboys defense which finished 30th in rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks in 2025. Now Dallas face Jayden Daniels without linebacker DeMarvion Overshown or safety Malik Hooker, two defenders they could very much use when a quarterback gets beyond the rush.

Daniels averaged 39.7 rushing yards across seven appearances last season. Under new playcaller David Blough, he ripped off 31 rushing yards against Philadelphia in Week 1 while struggling to complete passes against Vic Fangio’s defense. Blough has called one regular-season game; we’ve neither seen the fewest yards Daniels will run under his tenure, nor have we seen the most. I like this number as a good median for the second game of play-calling.

Dallas offers enough encouragement for Daniels as a scrambler. The Cowboys blitzed on 38.2% of dropbacks against New York but generated pressure on only 29.4%. I expect Daniels to reach 40 yards through a combination of called runs and his own decisions to tuck the ball.
