Below, I break down my favorite player prop bets for Sunday evening’s game between the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.
Broncos vs. Jaguars NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 2
Parker Washington o59.5 receiving yards (-110)
Trevor Lawrence barely had to throw after halftime against the Browns in Week 1 because the Jags offense is so white-hot. He dropped back just three times on plays that weren’t screen passes. Parker Washington still caught five passes for 83 yards. Most importantly, Lawrence had already directed a third of his first-half targets toward him. Washington ran only 15 routes all afternoon. He’ll be out there much more against Denver today.
Washington has been earning the attention of secondaries and fantasy sickos since last fall, averaging 83.4 receiving yards across his last nine healthy games, including the playoffs. Against man coverage since 2025, he’s charted 2.93 YPRR across 95 routes. That figure is comfortably, decidedly ahead of his hangar-mates, Brian Thomas Jr. and Jakobi Meyers. Denver has played man on 36% of coverage snaps over that span, third-most in the league. We like the matchup, here, despite the difficult on-paper matchup.
Lawrence himself is averaging 8.58 YPA against man since last season, so I’m seeing the connection with Washington leading to some legitimate chunk plays. Clearing 60 yards seems like a breeze for the NFL’s hottest wide receiver, who’s betting on himself for a massive contract next year.
Jaylen Waddle o52.5 total receiving yards
Jaylen Waddle caught one pass for two yards against Kansas City, despite leading Denver’s receivers with a 79% route share. Bo Nix looked his way only three times. Nix averaged 6.4 yards per attempt across 612 throws last season; my concern with Denver extends well beyond one lousy Monday night.
Waddle has a more encouraging history against the coverages Jacksonville favored in its opener. The Jaguars played Cover 3 or Cover 6 on 53.3% of their coverage snaps; against those looks since 2025, Waddle has drawn targets on 28% of his 176 routes and averaged 3.07 yards per route. He did most of that work in Miami, so projecting identical efficiency with Nix would be generous. His ability to earn throws against those zones interests me all the same.
I expect Denver to keep passing against a defense allowing running backs just 68 rushing yards per game since last season. With Marvin Mims Jr. out with a foot injury, Waddle should remain central to the route distribution. I’m backing him to turn that playing time into five or six catches and clear 52.5 yards.
